1st meeting spot 10am
Newton McDonalds rest stop on 128/95 south. This stop is right after the masspike exits.

This group will be leaving by 10:30, I am leading this group and I will have the grills as well as chicken and steak tips and many of the cooking utensils. Let me know if your coming in this group.

Middleboro Burger King(I think) 24 south(between 495N/S on ramps)

As the first group arrives this group should be getting ready to jet. This group will have folks from RI, southern MA, and some folks from CT. I would urge folks who are coming up on Friday for the meet to come to this checkpoint, for the fun of the caravan. It in itself is a good time. Hopefully there are some extra radios for use, they are an absolute necessity when coming to a GTG

This is just after exit 40 on 95 North

With some rough estimates this is a little over 100 miles from Ft. Adams in RI. I would bet it takes maybe around an hour and a half to get there… barring any major traffic. Please contact me, and I will put you through to the person in charge… SLKRoy for those of you who know him on the forums…

as for walkies, i need to go out and buy either a single if i can, if not..then a pair. any recommendations for which kind or brand to get? just dont want to get the 1 out of 100 pair that doesnt work on normal frequencies

 

Walkies are chaep. Even hame desperate has them. Just make sure you get a pair with multi channels. Sols only in pairs though, starting at around $20.00

 

I have not heard who will be meeting at the rest area in Milford CT off 95. Leave a message here or send me a PM so I know who to expect. Hate to leave someone behind.

 

For the walkies, I wont bring my 8 of them coz they wont be compatible with FRS walkie talkies....I'll just bring my own, I can have my radio be tuned to transmit and receive on any standard frequencies...just let me know which channel you guys are planning to use and I'll look up the frequency number =)

I might bring a E46 M3 member...still trying to pursuade him...

...just an FYI on my status -- tentative and not look'n good.

Dunno if the car will be outta the shop before next week. Can't drive the 560SL like I'd joked because it's gotten more and more unreliable & @ the moment is likely to leave me/us stranded @ the side of the road in its current state. Has already done it though started back up (so far, those times).
