I even offered FREE name card holders & lanyards, and no one took me up on the offer ! I asked for help with sponsors, food vendors, DJ, etc...
and no one offered to help. So please, don't think I'm a rookie at planning these events, it's just that there's only so much one person can do. Please, you are more than welcome to help me out at the next meets, which I already posted about as well on this thread. Again, go back and re-read this thread to see all the things you missed out on, if you truly wanted to help !
Berger, thanks for your comments ! No flaming necessary from anyone. You are very right, and perceptions sometimes become reality. No worries though... the C-Class guys are all outstanding individuals, and can mix it up with the 55/63 guys any day !
Before everyone goes off and starts threads on new meets for the next few months, please ask me first for advice. I've been doing these for years, and if you really want a turnout, you can't do one every week. People will just get tired of it. You gotta build it up, and you gotta have help !

Yes, each year gets bigger and bigger, but I have noticed over the past year that people have volunteered less and less to help out. You, Vic55, BenzGal, BenzoBoi, JamE55, Splinter, Drexappeal, mig888 are one of the few that have offered to help...

I started a PLANNING THREAD for the San Diego Summer MB Meet in July
over on MyMBonline. Hopefully, I can get people to help out this time, with sponsors, vendors, food, drinks, DJ, entertainment, and more !

Carlos, I think most folks voted for July 21st so far. I don't think food/drinks are going to be a problem. The DJ thing, I'll have to run that past Mr. DJ of the Huntington Beach event. Not making any promises but if he's in town for the event I think he will oblige especially since this will be in his hometown.

I'm basing my idea off of M.O.D. (Mitsubishi Owner Day), which I've been to several times with my cousins. The turn out is absolutely ridiculous, but they've got raffles going and food booths...and usually do some unvailing of new cars, sponsors galore, etc...
So, for those of you that are connected to a dealership...I know there are quite a few of you...this may be something that a dealership may want to think about! I'm sure there are many sponsors on here, as well as other companies that would be interested in putting it all together for all MB owners.

After you break the ice, I'm sure you'll begin to enjoy the scene even more and take part in it. It was a great learning experience as you get to see everyone's mods and learn from their experiences.
