Hey guys!

How about a Willow Springs get together/gathering? I think this would be a great location because it's got a pretty good space for gathering and it also has a race track! So if you want to stretch the legs on you car this would be a good place to start. We can set this up around either Jan or Feb? Anybody got any suggestions or comments??

I'm trying to hold back any meet until around the middle of February. I'm doing a lot of mods to my car, and don't want to end up having the meet the week before (being unable to show them). At the last Willow Springs meet, my spoilers were locked in the paint shop, so I was unable to install them.

How does it work? Rent the track and we all who attend split the cost? Or pay per run?

You get in for a fee (i think it's like $10 bucks) and then another fee to use the track. This still is in the plans but i'm trying to work it out with Mach430.

I could look into track fees, but I'm not so sure it would be a good idea to simply rent the track and throw a bunch of MB's on it. Not everyone would necessarily be qualified enough to properly drive within their limits, and I would really hate to see any of our members get hurt. I had suggested Willow Springs in the past to actually correlate with a race day so we would have something to do after we were finished checking out our cars.

If what people really want is to track their car, then I suggest we combine it with a track lesson day. I know 2-3 people who may be interested in instructing that day, but even then track fees would be required.

Yes that would be nice but how much is it to rent the track? That might be expensive??
