Guys don't sell yourself short. This track is fast. The E55 that ran with me that day was his first time out. The track will have the same great prep and hopefully cool temps as the day I ran my 12.02.
Jturkel your car is only my intake away from killer times. He actually has C32 he mocking up right now. I'll keep you posted on that, plus you'll get to see it first hand on the 13th. It took 1/2 sec off my time alone. He's looking for an E55 to mock up now.

Helmets and spectators
Wanted to make sure everyone knows about helmets. If you run faster than 14 seconds you will be required a helmet. Either open or full face. They are either DOT or Snell rated. Usually any motorcycle helmet has one of those ratings.
Also can you let me know how many spectators are coming with you. I want to make sure we have plenty of food for everyone.
So far here are some ideas for the trophies, feel free to make suggestions.
Low ET Crossfire
Low ET MB
Farthest Traveled
Slow Mo Award
Best reaction time
Highest trap speed
Best Appearing Car Peoples Choice
Best Overall Package - means combination of getting closest to dial in and best reaction time.
West Coast Shootout Champion 2008
West Coast Shootout Runner-up 2008

Thanks for the offer. Car is under warranty still and I told the Dealer it was running a second slow at the track. They took her in and had me back up and running strong within 3 hours. It feels right again. At least from the *** dyno.

Glad to hear your up and running. Your lucky to have a dealer that understanding. I have 2 problems if I need service. First Mercedes won't honor my warranty. Second Chrysler has no clue how to work on a Mercedes. So I learn as I go and fix the little stuff if need be myself. Even though I'm only at 3800 miles and warrantied until Feb 2010.

Yep, actually 1/4 mile at time is my sig on another forum. It's true though. Went tonight, track wasn't prepped like it will be next week and I managed a 12.03, 12.05, 12.06. Not bad for spinning of the line. The air was nice and cool. Hooleyboy we might have to stay for the night session to set the records straight.

The line will be pretty good from the faster cars putting down rubber from their burn outs. It's usually sprayed from the starting line on. The trick is to make a nice wide turn and look for the best grove to get into when your lining up.

Here is a link to get some directions. Although I find it much easier to find my way to RT303 as its a wide open highway that goes right to RT60 if you are coming from the east side.
