Were you able to get ahold of him? The buddy of mine with a E55 had his alternator go out and can't make it now. Seems like the gremlins are out.

No problem we'll see you there. Track prep won't be done until 10am or close to it. I was going to give a brief description on the basics of bracket racing during that time. Just checked weather 0% precipitation during the day tomorrow. Bring your friend out to eat with and have fun with us.

Last minute notice, but supre55 told me he was going out and I might bring a stock SL65 for a couple of passes. He and I ran with SECC a few weeks back and had a good time until it got hot. Will only be able to stick around for a couple hours. How late does the track allow people to stick around?

Come on out. PM me your name so I can add you to the list. The track probably closing around 5 or 6pm. We'll be probably wrapping up well before that. 9am is when most are getting there. Remember your helmet, I know your well in the 11's.

Sounds good. Do I need to sign in under a specific group name? If so, my name is Franz Forman. Should be there between 9-9:30. Best ET three weeks ago was 11.8 @ 120. Hope to knock a tenth off with the cooler temps. See you guys in the morning.

Got you down. Your name will be on the list. I'm hoping for 11's myself. Sounds like fastest MB trophy will have some serious competition. Thanks for coming. The group will be under West Coast Shootout.

Nice day out today fellas.
I ran like ****. I was a full second off my best time at Atco earlier this year. Goes to show you how much DA and wind can affect your ET's.
Chiromikey: great to finally meet you buddy. You're not nearly as evil as Gustav makes you out to be![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)
Those SRT-6 are fast! I have a newfound respect for those cars.
And before it hits You Tube: YES, I had the car in reverse on my second run. Embarrassing yes, but ironically, my fastest run of the day![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)

West Coast Shootout 2008 is in the books.
It was a great event, and I want to thank everyone for sharing the day with us. We had some great racing, great food, and great weather. It turned out awesome.
We had 21 cars show up and 18 were in the bracket race. Chiromikey laid the law down with a Killer 11.38 on his first pass. The SL65 held its own and finally broke in the 11's with a 11.78. I managed a 12.12 but that's as close as I got. The weather was perfect for the 1st pass, but didn't get any closer. We had Tighe1, Pitchers Performance, and mine for SRT6's. New Crossfire with the black NA come on down from Tucson. We had every Mercedes you can think of. C32, C55, CLK55, E55's, C350, CL55, BMW's of all variety as well, and the killer sounding M5 of Bonehead. That car's exhaust is mean. Many thanks to Thomas for coming all the way from LA. He took our longest traveled Award. Chiromikey cleaned up with Low ET Mercedes, Highest Trap Speed, and Peoples Choice Awards. I won the bracket race, but fought off some close races getting there. Runner up was Geoff H. with a solid showing for his first time ever bracket racing.
I'm not sure if everyone was posting their personal best, but I think some did. The bracket race was a blast. The track had problems with the lights, so they asked if we would run on a pro tree. I told them let's go, and we all raced on a pro tree. Needless to say that evened the playing field quite a bit. All in all I enjoyed everyone's company and had a blast. Pics to follow after a good rest. I'm exhausted.
