The "IDK what it's called" So-Cal Rally
I spoke with some people, and it seems like everyone has the same reason for not joining Gumball3000, or other like events... too damn expensive.
I have a solution (I think)
I might be reaching too high here, but this might work.
I was thinking we could start our own rally, keep it small, nothing gigantic.
No entry fee or anything. We would pick a route, we would pick certain stops along the way (scenic or other) and end at the same place.
I want to make it clear that this is NOT A RACE. SERIOUSLY. Just a bunch of car enthusiasts having fun.
We could pick hotels along the way that we'd all stay at (everyone would take care of their own reservations) and maybe we'd be able to get good group rates.
We could also put some people in charge of coordinating what we'd do every night along the way (restaurant/club reservations).
I thought we could start it off slow with a one day drive up and down PCH or something along those lines. And then next time we could make it to San Francisco or something and make it a one nighter and gradualy build from there.
We could even come up with a cool name and logo for T-shirts. We might even be able to get the shirts free of charge if we get a few sponsors (I'd be cool to sponsor the some portion of the shirts with my mom's store's name)
Does anyone have any ideas or past experience with this kind of thing? I think it could be a lot of fun.
Danny

Out Of Control!!
If you all wanna pitch in and pay for me, Ill plan a rally on the west coast... not just Cali peeps but whole west coast, 4 or 5 days... weekend to weekend
I have a 2k mile round trip run in the works up here in the Northeast, I would plan one if you are interested for west coast... and I'll tell you, there is some really beautiful scenic roads to see up there
Start in Phoenix, drive to LA, spend the night and party it up in LA. From LA drive up the coastal road, stop in Monterey and make it to an event a Laguna Seca, or have an event AT laguna seca. Drive North skipping over San Fran and head in to Wine country. Spend the night there, have a huge feast and then from there finish your drive up through central Oregon, visiting Crater lake and Finish it up in Portland. 4 days, lots of driving, lots of awesome sights to see. Cars would need to have a driver and CO driver... I cant stress co driver enough, dont want people falling asleep during the run.
Lets make it happen!!!
