Out Of Control!!
Honestly, I have no idea. I would think that the display area for the cars being judged would be all outside, with the lunch served either inside or in outside tents. I haven't been to a JJ before, so not familiar with the setup, sorry.
If it is raining (and with the way things have been going, I'm pretty sure it will be), the event will probably suck, so I won't be inclined to go.

Cars are all outside rain or shine.
Lunch is grilled and buffet style with tables in the cafe or on the verandas.
It is quite good(past years experience).
As well the awards are given out and the day is done.
2009 June Jamboree in New Jersey 6/20/09
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 46th Annual June Jamboree will be held at MBUSA headquarters in Montvale, NJ on Saturday, June 20, 2009. This is the longest running car show event for the MBCA. Come join us for this fun filled day.
The Concours class cars will be judged by teams of judges according to the updated MBCA National rules. Concours cars will need to be cleaned and detailed inside and out. They will be judged in four categories:
1 – Interior, upholstery, trunk, hard top, soft top;
2 – Chrome, plastic, rubber, glass, lights, trim;
3 – Engine compartment;
4 – Exterior paint, finish, bodywork.
The chassis, underbody, and exhaust systems will NOT be judged in this event.
Popular Vote cars need only to be clean and presentable. For Popular Vote cars just “give the baby a bath” and come out and enjoy the day.
Pre-registration is greatly appreciated as it allows the judges to have the field set up more accurately. Pre-registration for Concours and Popular Vote is $45 prior to June 15, 2009. Registrations after that date and on the day of the event will be $55 per car. Meals and facilities is $10 per person for those not registering a vehicle, (children under 12 – no charge). Registration will begin at 8:00 AM in the lobby of MBUSA.
The schedule for the day is as follows: Registration 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Judging will begin at 10:30 and there will no more detailing of the cars allowed. Luncheon graciously provided by MBUSA will be served around 1:00 or as soon as the judging of the Concours cars is complete. All Popular Votes must be turned in before entering the lunchroom. Awards ceremony will follow the luncheon and the completion of the judging.
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Finback Series of Mercedes-Benz, we ask our members to bring any vintage finback vehicle they may have or their friends may have to this years June Jamboree. A retrospective presentation will be made and special prizes will be awarded.

MBUSA headquarters are located at 1 Mercedes Drive in Montvale NJ. Google Maps will show you how to get there. Please use the Grand Avenue entrance, a few hundred feet from Garden State Parkway exit 172 (northbound). For those coming from the north (NY State Thruway exit 14B) enter the rest area on the left just after entering NJ, there is an exit to Grand Ave from the rest area at the north end of the parking lot. In both cases, turn right onto Grand and right again into the MBUSA driveway.

Out Of Control!!
Damn, that's 6 miles from my apt. Don't have much of an excuse, do I? ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
$10 for a decent lunch and drooling over finbacks, even in the rain, might not be a bad thing.

Out Of Control!!
So, who ended up going? The weather ended up mostly cooperating. I took my nephews to see "Up" instead. I hope the learn to appreciate my sacrifice.

finbacks and 300sl's and a unimog stood out. lunch was indoors, no grilling. it was
essentially a nnj section meet. an absurd door prize raffle, with almost everyone
winning some pos. they gave a slide show re the new e-class. all in all it was
a nice day, though not spectacular.

It is a great group of people, and yes everyone gets something, and Y NOT.
Sorry about the lunch usually is a nice grilled selection. Maybe the weather was a factor, or the economy.
Unfortunate, but I was to take my Dad and he called in the morning saying "he didn't quite feel himself", so I stayed home and went to see him instead.
Got to take care of my Pal.

Hi Arno
OK OK I'll agree on a 2008 in for a concourse show is whimpy at best.
