Hey sorry, I had a suspension emergency. I was refering to the mbworld bear mountain meet on the 13th.

I spoke to Tommy and we are going to see what is up next weekend with the Lexus meet. I don't know what is going on that weekend autoxwise but if there is nothing worth while I will be hitting up your event. I just installed the springs and sways so I would like to show off a little and have a chance to just hang out instead of race all day.

Hey I live in New York and would be interested in joining the meet. Does anyone have an exact address and what do we need to bring.

ELENI, you're talking about the Bear Mtn meet for Sunday June 29th, right? You're more than welcome to come up. We're starting the meet at 11:30am in Anthony Wayne Recreation Area, which is located off of exit 17 from the Palisades Parkway. We'll all be at the parking lot, and go from there. We are all set with food and drink items, so you can just bring your own self (and your car) See you there!

Hi Lexusk8. Thanks for the quick repsonse. Just wanted to be sure that Mercedes was welcome too at this meet. I thought the meet on the 29th was for Lexus and the meet on the 14th was for Mercedes. I'd be happy to go to both as long as we're welcome.

Thanks again.

Yes ELENI, ClubLexus will be there on the 29th, but we welcome all cars and people interested; we're not as biased as you may think Are you all set with directions? I think most people who live in the NY/NJ regions knows where Palisades Pkwy is.

Eleni Queens eh-

I don't know if we have an exact spot for the mbworld meet. Tommy? Tommy and I had discussed going to futuregs' meet to scope out cool spots... Wanna join us to represent the MBs?

The lexus, bimmer, audi, mb meet is right off Exit 17 on the Palisades pkwy. You would just go across the GWB and catch it northbound to exit 17.

Follow this link for more info. on that meet. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/show...threadid=86795

Not sure how entusiastic you are, but I am also autox'n my car a lot. I am going to be going to a bmwcca event on long island next Sat. 6/28 at the Nassau Coliseum. http://www.nybmwcca.org/autocross/

I was checking out that other site too for the BMWCCA event. I was a little troubled with the point chart. It's a little bit upsetting to see that an 850 only gets 3 points to start off with.

How does that meet work, Nassau Coliseum is pretty close to me. Since you've been to one before maybe you can fill me in on what actually happens.

Our last NY/NJ meet was all MBs. It was small but a lot of fun, just chit chat, bbq, and beer. If it stays all MB I suggest this July meet of ours @ Bear Mtn. I honestly suggest we get a north east regional European Car Club going, and meet more often, organize meets, autocrosses, and track days, but that just me thinking pie in the sky.

Sorry for going off topic but...
AutoX is a lot of fun. Don't worry about the points yet. You go, register, they tech inspect your car, you walk around and/or have a practice lap on the track. Then you run around the course, racing against the clock. You want to beat your own time the first times, not really worry about the others. You get to see a lot of great cars, watch a lot of great drivers, and meet other enthusiasts, have fun, and use your car! I would have to recommend you go to the event on Sat.

Here are links to my AutoX threads in the W203 forum.
My first event
my second, the NASA event
Let me know if you want to go. Tommy has company next weekend so I don't know if he can make it. I have to set up a new post for it.

If you want we could meet up and drive or meet there.

Yeah I got the directions OK up to exit 17. I'm not quite sure how I will do after the exit. I may have a friend coming along also in a 2002 bmw 330ci. If that's the case then I may decide to bring the 850 out instead of the 430. Weather permitting I'll be there.

If possible could someone post directions on where we go after exit 17.

Thanks.

You can't miss it after you get off of exit 17, the recreation area is right there! Feel free to bring your friend(s) along as we will probably have a handful of unexpected guests show up. Weather is looking good on Sunday; partly sunny, highs in the upper 70s

I think it would be a great idea to start some kind of Car Club. Even though my 430 is mostly stock I enjoy taking it out and looking at everyone elses rides. I think both of the Bear Mountain meets sound great. I'm definitely going to try to get out to this weekends meet. I will definitely make my way to the July meet since I will have a little more time getting some more people together. Hopefully we will have some great weather this weekend, I'd hate for us to get rained out.

14th? I woundn't want to meet on a 14th, that's a multiple of 7. Not good. Oh, and it is a Monday.

Bad Eleni, bring the Benz, there'll be enough Bimmer people even though the 850 is a hot ride.

Nuk - can't make this Sunday's meet; made plans for non-car-related things, for a change.

I'll start up an official July 13th thread tonight with directions, food list, etc., and then we can leave nuk and eleni alone on this thread to continue their conversation, wherever it goes.

Hey I actually like lots of tattoos, but I have a boyfriend he doesn't like me to say these things. LOL. But, if I can get enough of my friends to come to the meet in July there will be alot of single girls to pick from.

If I do go on Saturday I will look for the only other Mercedes there. I'll probably be coming in my 430, if not the 850.

Yeah, we might need to work on that boyfriend thing. He might not like you saying those things but he is REALLY going to hate the things I've said. :tailbtwnlegs : peesonself <- attractive right?

I have no luck with dating. I quit. I am mean to my coupe and she still loves me. Good enough for me at the moment.

Exactly how boycrazy could you be with a boyfriend? I'd have to image that might stiffle the kaos?

That's what I say, no one loves me more than my car. I don't know if I would want to beat on her though. I may be laughed off the track because I take it easy on her.

The cool thing about these events is that there is no laughing at other people. Everyone will likely be very encouraging and supportive. My experiences so far have been that everyone is on your side, trying to help, trying to teach. It is a good thing and a lot of fun.

They only seem to laugh at rice cakes and moroons who try to drive the course with their seat set up like a lazyboy.

You'll have a lot of fun. And bring me your single friends
