Exclamation Bear Mtn, NY Meet on July 12 or 13? Anyone?

Just throwing out the idea. It's a great place for a meet, plus it would get all of those whimpy New Yorkers who wouldn't drive down to a NJ meet to show up.

Or feel free to submit alternatives.

i'm in!

I'm in just let me know the date.

I would also, suggest lets setting the date as a deffinite and posting the gathering on all the forums not just the one under gatherings. I will do all the Eclass forums and any others you guys want me too.

Where in Bear Mountain do you want to meet.

Or if you want there is a great location in Northern NJ, that overlooks the NYC skyline. We often have motorcycle gatherings there. There is a hugh parking lot and food near by. It's in Lincoln Harbor (weehawken, nj)

Let me know!

Count me in. Last year was fun, nice photo op, great BBQ, nice drive up there.

Someone remind me to bring hot dog buns this time

Actually, Lincoln Harbor is a very cool setting, and easy to get to. Only thing is we'd have to buy food - I doubt they'd let us set up a grill there?

If this summer's long enough, we could do both. Any excuse to gawk at other peoples benzes is welcome.

I mentioned Bear Mtn. because the girlies from NY really do seem to have an issue with driving to Jersey for anything, and there are a ton of nice NY Benzes out there (might be soon including me in the NY owners).

So, let's try to nail down something: I say July 12 or 13. I'm going to the Mazda Rev it Up thingy in Philly on the 20th, so that weekend would be no good for me.

Last year's was at the lake (or pond) front grill area, near the back of the Inn, if memory serves, at the very top of the road. We met at Palisaides Park (the mall just west of the Tappan Zee), then drove en masse from there. That setup worked really well.

Does that sound like a good plan to people????

We've already got Columbus with hot dog buns, and Rick with his favorite Celine Dion cd. How could it go wrong?

Thumbs up

Sounds good to me - let's make it official!

Next up will be the food/other goodies.

Columbus - we had to bring a bbq at last year's event, right? And yes, I'm thinking of moving to NY - new job's right on the nj/ny border, and with two cars that insurance companies aren't too fond of (and the always-imminent speeding ticket), I would be able to save a good deal on insurance.

Spread the word! I'm going to send out a holler to the email list that I had last year, and add those here with emails in their profiles.

ClubLexus will be there on the 29th!

As apricotscrub has mentioned, there will be a Lexus meet at Bear Mtn on Sunday, June 29th. All the meet info is located here. We're inviting not just Lexus owners, but all car owners interested. Should be a lot of fun, and filled with mountainside and twisty drives with breathtaking views, and all that good stuff.

Feel free to stop by...

Yes, I'm sure they did, which is why I didn't do something similar myself. They're a testy bunch these days.

Yeah, let's all meet at the parking lot on the far side of the mall (westernmost) near the Home Depot, right across from the entrance to the empty lot right near the thruway (where the Westchester Club used to have their autox events, which are no more, sadly).

How about 11:30?? It should start to get hotter around here (eventually), so I don't want to start it too late.
