hey guys i'm a member from the east coast and would like to know if there is anything going onthiss weekend or so ? i'm out here in SanMateo and would like to goto a shop or show or something with cars from out here. Plese let me know.

I've been wondering if anyone is interested for a bay area benz meet for a long time...there are so many meets going on at the bmw side but nothing here for mb...anyone up to take in charge and organize? I am too busy with mba/work so i don't have too much time...otherwise, i wouldn't mind...

Agreed...Bay Area Mercedes Owners!
I will be willing to organize the date and time.
I do a similar thing with Porsche owners. I started a Group called Bay Area RennGroup (BAR).

I can do a similar thing for Mercedes owners.
That said, we usually meet, in the morning, up at Hwy 92 and 35 (Skyline Blvd). There is a vista point parking lot with a great view. We have coffee and doughnuts, then we drive through the hills.
If you want to start off with this type of meeting to begin with, let me know and I will pull this together.
I am not sure how many people read this forum so please reply if there is interest.

I vote acastell to be in charge also....If you guys are into joint meet, i can bring a bunch of bimmers also.....another site is bnzsport.com i think...maybe you can promote over there also..

Benzsport changed to only C class cars.. they partners of the original site split and now its primarly for C class owners.
About a month ago there was an Euro-only show in Burlingame at Topline Performance. The turnout was pretty good for a parling lot show. Pics of the show can be found here.

As for a Bay Area meet, Im all for it. The car should be done in about 3 weeks. Most of the meets Ive been to were either held in the parking lot off highway 1 @ Ocean Beach. Also at the In and Out in Milpitas. You need a big enough place that can hold at least 15-20 cars and have either a restaurant or bbq close to it.

Well, it appears that we have a 'few' interested folks...all we need are a few in the beginning, meet on a regular schedule and soon, the group will grow.
It also appears that the locations are all over the Bay Area. So, not only do we need a date, but a location.
I have been planning 'meet and drive' sessions. I sense that you all want more of a meet and greet session, in a parking lot at a food joint. Sounds good to me.
All I need to know is:
Where are you located? I will try to pick a spot central to the group...
As far as the dates, I always plan my drives on Sunday mornings. So, the next few Sundays are:
14th, 21st, 28th...comment on your availability.

Both Danielkwak and I are in SF.....how about somewhere in the middle, say san mateo to palo alto area?

How about meeting at a parking lot or somewhere near stanford shopping center? Will next sunday work for the majority? Can someone help spread the words over at bnzsport.com and benzworld once we decide?
