any tracks in new york area
i live in new york, brooklyn that is and id like to know if anyone knows of a track around here for some high speed fun. and if there will be any benz gatherings in the area. thanx

There's Riverhead Raceway (a.k.a Long Island Motorsports Park), though it's closing soon to make way for a retirement community. Though since your in Brooklyn, you may be closer to Englishtown, or something upstate I'm not really sure.

Englishtown Raceway has a quarter mile track. But they have just been approved to build a race course. Check it out: http://etownraceway.com

2004 Civic Si. FWD for the Win!
Westchester Sports Car Club ( www.wscc.org ) has autocrosses at Orchard Beach in the Bronx, if you're interested in autocrossing. I did some of their events when they were at Palisades Park; haven't done any of the Bronx ones yet, but they were very well organized when I did 'em at PP.
Not the best format for a Benz, but would be fun nonetheless.
Oh, and when the weather's better, I'll probably try to organize another Bear Mtn. meet - had a very good turnout at our first one two years ago, this past summer's one was so-so.

Riverhead has an oval, and a 1/4 mile drag strip, I'm not 100% sure about cost but I know it's very affordable.

I frequent Lime Rock with SCDA the most, but I've been to Pocono (long course) with PDA, Watkins Glen with SCDA and NHIS with SCDA. The most fun $200 you'll ever spend.
