NJ Meet - April 25th

OK, the March 27th idea got shelved, mostly because I'm getting my car chipped at the Upsolute event that day in CT, so the current thinking:

April 25th at the park behind Menlo Park Mall in Edison. Good location, and I'll even map out something this time so that we don't have groups of 2-3 people at each of the parking lots, like we have had in the past. Sound kosher?

Kosher? You mean I should bring kosher hot dogs this time? With the buns of course...

I guess the warranty has expired so lookout - tommy's off the chizzle! What's next - pulley, xenons... ?

Hey, Chris, back from the dead! Haven't seen you post in a while. I've had xenons for about 6 months (fried one ballast already; waiting on replacement) - under 8k left on warranty, so figure that I have one service A left, and the chipping's on sale this month, so might as well go for it.

Pulley's this summer sometime, then rechipping, then coilovers, then some kind of clutch/flywheel combo. At least that's how it stands now.

When's your lease up? What are you gonna do?

oh man, your's is gonna be one sweet ride! Mine's up next year in May. I'd love to get another Benz, the wife is pushing for 4 doors (even with no kids in sight) but fortunately, there's the C230 Kompressor Sports Sedan

I wasn't dead, just mired in projects at work so I tried to stay as far away from a PC as I could when I got home. But ever since picking up an iPod I now spend hours on end ripping my cd collection and loading it on the 'Pod...sweet little bugger that it is. I'll never get another cd-changer for the car (unless it's standard); bluetooth or a line-in jack would be sweet. The next iPod should be equipped with one but after just shelling out 400 smackers I'll stick with what I got. Plus I don't feel like switching to Acura just for that. Not that there's anything wrong with that... but no more front-wheel drive for the kid here. I just hope future Benzes will have bluetooth as well. Still waiting for DVD-based nav. But I digress... yeah, I'm still around, man. Looking fwd to seeing everyone again. And spring - REALLY looking forward to that. Let's hope the potholes are fixed by the time the meet comes around; I've blown through all 3 of the Contis I copped from you <rolleyes>. Oh, and a $345 C7 rim

Not until he buys a real car first.
:p

I'm in for the 27th. March is too busy anyway. still stuck in Europe.

We need a better mechanism to get the word out. Few people check this area of the boards on a regular basis. I know I don't.
I don't know why the mods don't allow notices to be cross-posted in some of the other forums.

Tommy, what is the sale price on the Upsolute?

Will we move from the mall to the park as one group, or do we plan to grill hotdogs on our engine manifolds in the parking lot?

Who will bring what? As always, I have the music covered already.

Rick, you do know that it's APRIL 25th, right? We still have over a month until it happens. If you still think it's the 27th of March, RIF!

I'll put up some "illegal" cross posts, most notably the slk forum (to try to get Paul and David in on the meet), as time gets a little closer. I've also got an email group at my yahoo account from the Bear Mtn. meet that I'll edit and send out an email to.

The price of the chip is going to be $375, plus I'll be getting some before and after dynos in as well. It's only a week and a half away - can't wait to get it done.

We can get a food/beverage thing up soon enough; as usual, I'm sure that I'll get screwed on this. No need to bring out the violins.

Yes, April good.

Since you earn the most, it's only fair that you bring the most, no?

If anyone knows of open positions in the technology, specifically web oriented market for Business Analysts or Project Managers PLEASE PM OR EMAIL ME. I really don't want to commute via airplane for this position.

Um, the meet will be PG, so you two will have to go somewhere else afterwards.

Actually, as far as I'm concerned, this meet has been tabled for April 25th for the Woodbridge meet. If you want to still do an Edison meet on the 25th, you're on your own.

Though an Edison or Bear Mtn. meet for later on, like the end of May, I'd definitely be up for.

What are you talking about? What Woodbridge meet?

Well you picked the 25th. Why did you double-book? I don't care where it is.

They should rename that topic to include the location. Too easy to skip over by accident.

Thanks, Mom!

There was no double-booking, silly. Two totally separate things; I just thought that it would be better to latch onto this instead of our normal meets. Sheesh!
