Got the discount

Called Erin, got the discount and am set for the next seven years. If anyone calls her, just say Paul referred you.

local dealer

As much as our local dealer said, no discount. As soon as I called him and said I had sourced a discount from another benz dealer, and it was the same ELW warranty simply applied to my VIN, he said "sure, I can offer you that price" boom, done.

Good for you. I could have done the same thing with my dealer and he would probably been pissed to have to match Erin's price so I figured why deal with that aggravation? Might as well just give my business to Erin who was pretty straightforward with me. At the end of the day, as long as the MB system indicates that the car has an extended warranty then it doesn't really matter who we purchase the ELW from. I just don't like dealing with salespeople who will first attempt to get the most money from you and then will only back off (and provide a discount) when you show them that you are an informed and smart consumer. I've dealt with over a dozen MB salepeople in the past few months and there are good ones and there are not so good ones. I give my business to those who treat me well.

Yeah, I was pretty fine with getting the discount from him locally, considering when I bought the car they said "no, never is this discounted it's full value or nothing" But, when I presented contrary information, it was like "sure, I can sell it to you for that price"

Of course, I knew all this going IN to the process, but it never feels good to actually EXPERIENCE it.

Rich @ MB of Georgetown has recently been promoted. His replacement's info is listed below. You're not going to find a better deal on a MB ELW.

Mark Eggleston
Finance Director
MB of Georgetown

meggleston@mbofgeorgetown.com

Preferred method of contact is email. Email needs to include current mileage and vin#.

Just bought a 7/100000 from Erin in Santa Rosa, (707) 542-4810, who matched Eggleson's price out of Georgetown, TX. Price was under 3,000 for a 2013 E350C4. Eggleson started out real helpful until I actually tried to buy the warranty then he became unavailable. Four phone calls, three voicemails and a follow-up email and no response. Turned to Erin and one phone call and the whole thing was done. If I'd of known about Erin before I tried Mark I'd of gone straight to her to begin with. She was very pleasant to deal with. Call and ask for Erin Mahre, pronounced MA-REE.

I had similar experience as above. Just purchased 7/75k from Erin Mahre of MB Santa Rosa, direct:707-521-3996, tel:707-542-4811, erin@smotherseuropean.com. She matched Mark Eggleston's price out of Georgetown, TX for 2009 SLK350 w/~19k miles. First contacted Mark b/c I'm in TX. He was responsive and helpful until I actually tried to purchase the warranty, then he was completely non-responsive. Wouldn't return emails or vmails. Don't know what game he's playing. After that I contacted Erin. She quoted $2205 but agreed to match Mark's quote of $2005 and said it was basically close to cost. Apparently, this wasn't the 1st time this has happened. Erin's level of customer service was excellent! She was very helpful and took the time over the phone to explain details.

I just got the ELW + prepaid from Erin. Great service and she takes the time to make sure your questinos are answered. I tried to ask her to match my local dealer but she has her limit. Eventhough my own dealer was offering me a little lower price then her's, but she was up front and honest that makes wins the deal. I go to her rather then the little extra saving from my dealer who initially quoted me 10% over MSRP and make his way down.
The best way to get hold of her is by calling her directly. If you want, just tell her Henry from NJ and ask her to give you the same deal You will find it is well worth it and do it all from your home/desk without making extra trips.

If your vehicle qualifies in the Mercedes system, I can set you up with a 6/100 zero deductible ELW for $3150.00 plus our tax of 5.1%. Your total would be $3310.65. Let me know...

Travis,

Do you realize you are responding to a member who posted this almost four years ago? He has not been in the forum for three years. Why this for your very first post?

No worries. It's good to keep this thread alive, especially if it can save money for members who are looking for warranty options. Welcom to MBworld.

Do you work for Mercedes? I am in need of a MB ELW. Mark stopped responding to me after I got a quote from him. Just like others have pointed out. Kind of weird.

I also got my CPO warranty extended +24 mo/135K miles on a newly acquired 2009 SL550. She was great to work with on top of the fact that her quote beat everyone else that I spoke with.

She's even been helpful in options for a warranty for my wife's 2006 E350 which already has exhausted the CPO including 2-year extension previously...even though in the end it may not be something she can directly sell me due to needs for physical inspection (she's in CA and car/myself are in TX).

Here is her contact info:

Thanks to Travis. I just purchased a 7/125 warranty from him for our 2011 GL350. I tried to contact Erin, but could not get her by phone, voicemail or email. I also contacted Modesta, where Tim worked, but they didn't offer any discount at all. My local dealer gouged me with MSRP. I emailed Travis, provided the year, model, VIN and warranty terms. He responded very quickly with a phenomenal price. I called him later in the day, gave him credit card info, and it couldn't have been more painless. I highly recommend contacting him before purchasing.

Just purchased a 7/75 ELW for my wife's 2010 C300 from Travis Eastman. Excellent service. I saw his post in this forum and contacted him after Mark Eggleston stop responding after I accepted his offer. Turns out that Travis' price was $50 less than Mark's. Travis does not charge the 15% surcharge some dealers charge when you purchase the ELW if it's purchased 30 days or later after taking deliver of the car. He does, however, have to charge a 5.1% sales tax - Wisconsin law - but still the best price I could find.
Does anyone know why some dealers charge a 15% surcharge for late purchases? I don't think it's MBUSA that imposes the surcharge.

Like others, I too just purchased an ELW from Travis @ MB of Elmbrook. I couldn't be happier with the service that was received and better yet, the final price for the warranty. A couple of emails and a five minute call was all that it took to seal the deal.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend that you at least contact Travis if you are looking for, or needing to get a factory backed extended warranty for your beloved MB.

Just got my ELW from Travis as well. It was an easy process and he was a stand up guy to work with. I can easily say he beet everyone's prices and I had been looking for a while. Even about 1k less than Erin's quote to me. I highly recommend him. Good luck!

E350
My mom just purchased a new 2013 E350 tonight. She also purchased an extended warranty that is 7 years or 100K miles. The dealership told her she can cancel and receive a 100% refund as long as it is under the manufacturers warranty. Is this for real? By reading this board it seems she should have purchased an extended warranty from Travis or Erin? Am I correct? Any info would be helpful.

Thanks.
