Very helpful information here. My question is, is the price of the ELW or CPO extended warranty MSRP related, i.e. vehicle with higher MSRP gets higher price for ELW with same coverage?

This thread is unnecessarily confused. The TOPIC is where to buy a two-year/unlimited mileage extension to the one-year/unlimited mileage CPO warranty, which perforce only applies to used cars sold as CPO. The confusion is that some people are talking about various extensions to the base new car four-year/50,000 mile warranty, such as ELW.

On the topic, the best price I found in April 2018 for a two-year CPO extension on a 2013 E350 was $1,845, with no sales tax or any other fee, from Jeff Jackson at Tafel Motors in Louisville, whose contact info is listed in posts above. Jeff was very responsive, informative and a straight shooter.

Props as well to Jeff Jackson. Got the same price as Kilt just a week or so ago on a '14 E550, with immediate email confirmation and a paper copy a few days later in the mail. Jeff was courteous, professional, a pleasure to talk with, and after just a minute or two on the phone, everything was as expected (from the other prior posts here) so I immediately pulled the trigger on it.

If you ever read this, Jeff, thanks again!

Jeff Jackson provided the lowest price and best customer service. He was extremely efficient, very courteous, professional and polite. He gave me a quote very quickly over the phone. He was able to beat the quote my local dealership gave by 2,000 dollars and he beat Mark Rose's quote by 900 dollars. He was also very nice to let me know that MBUSA was considering to remove the 15% surcharge fee for ELWs and told me to wait a few days so he could be sure by getting confirmation from MBUSA first. Sure enough Jeff called me back a few days later confirming that MBUSA decided to waive the 15% surcharge fee for ELW's. No other finance rep mentioned this to me because either they were not aware of it or did not want me to know. Save yourself the time, money and hassle and go with Jeff Jackson.

I appreciate the insights provided by all on this thread.
Between dealership and others mentioned in this thread, I ended up going with Troy Dietrich.
Emailed, received response with phenomenal pricing, called to finalize and pay with cc.
Purchased additional 6yr / 60,000 Platinum warranty underwritten by Fidelity Warranty Services.
Highly recommended.

First off, a huge thank you to the forum members for their insight and advise. Spending a hour reading the thread, can save many hours and $s.

A double thumbs up to Jeff Jackson of Tafel Motors. Just purchased the 3Y / 100K MB ELW for my 2015 C-300.
Reached out to all the dealers mentioned on this forum and Jeff was much more responsive and quoted the lowest price. He emailed a copy of the draft ELW contract for review and answered Qs on the phone.
Friendly, very knowledgeable and concluded on phone with minimal fuss.

For others benefit, pricing below for a 2015 C-300:
3Y/75K: 3Y/100K:
Jeff Jackson: $1600 $2600
Cassandra: $1750 $2750
Jamie Ruis: $2000 $3000 Make it sound like he was giving me a great deal!
Local MB dealer: $4,455 Platinum plan from Fidelity
Mark Ruis: ? ? IMO, was arrogant on the phone. Refused to quote and said I should only call him after doing all my research and when ready to buy.
Never a good idea to dictate to your customers how they should buy.

Endurance: $4,074 $4,320 Supreme policy, their highest coverage and exclusionary coverage. Deductible of $100 but policy starts 30 days / 1000M after purchase, which means it overlaps the factory coverage.

Other points on the MBUSA ELW:
1. No deductible. Sold and backed by MBUSA.
2. Starts only after the 4y/50K miles factory warranty ends, no overlap.
3. Warranty work can only be done at a MB dealer.
4. Can be cancelled for 100% refund before factory warranty ends. After that, prorated refund minus any claims paid.
5. Fully transferable to a new owner - private party only, not if traded in or sold to a car dealer.

ELW Comments
I completely agree with the responsiveness and helpfulness of Jeff Jackson. He returned my call and emailed me the information that I needed fairly quickly. The price he quoted me is lower from what was offered to me by my local MB Dealer here in FL which i as follows for a 2015 CLS550:
7/75 $3200 expires 11/27/2021 or 75,000 miles
7/100 $3950 expires 11/27/2021 or 100,000 miles

My question is it only adds an additional 3 years to my vehicle and I'm searching for something that will go at least up to 7 yrs of my enrollment (100K on the odometer) on top of my existing with the intent of keeping this car longer. For a few hundred dollars and a manageable $100, I feel the extended warranties offered by non MB affiliated companies such as Endurance will serve the purpose. Does anyone agree with my assumption and am I missing something out here? Pros and Cons? Thank You

I initially started looking for a longer than 3 additional years (total 7) warranty too, as I will likely keep my car 8-9 years.
As stated in this thread, MBUSA ELW is max 3 more years.
Didn't find any good options that were price competitive. Closest was Endurance with a 5Y/100K miles policy, but coverage was less than MB, with a $100 deductible and about $1600 more expensive.
If you find anything worthwhile, please let me know.

Extended Warranty
I’m just surprised Endurance quoted you more than $4K for your warranty so there is an extreme difference between what’s MB is offering opposed to Endurance, in my case, extra $600 for 75K additional miles and additional 7 years is I think a no brainer.

Who was your contact at Endurance? Perhaps a different person will offer better options.

Mine before I sold it was around 250k. A few sensors will go bad, valve cover gasket replaced, and suspension. Outside of that, the S500 is bullet proof with proper maintenance. My SLK with 160k doesn't even burn oil or leak.

Give Jeff Jackson a call. I just purchased a 2 year ELW from him, saving me over $1500 from what my selling dealer was asking.
Fast response, no BS.

'14 E-350 4MATIC CPO 2 YEARS UNLIMITED
'14 E-350 4MATIC 46,300 miles
I've decided to go with Jeff Jackson and I just purchased a 2 year CPO from him, saving me over $2,000. Jeff provided the lowest price and was extremely professional, efficient and very polite. Also he was able to beat the other great quote ( Cassandra). I'd highly recommend Jeff Jackson to any one considering to purchase CRO ( ELW) and willing to save yourself time and $$$$ money!!

If you don’t mind me asking what you paid or your Fidelity warranty. I purchased the same warranty from the Earnhardt Buick GMC where I bought my 2017 C300 Coupe for $2500. It has a zero deductible. It has only been 2 weeks so I can cancel and find a better deal if you got it cheaper. TIA!

It’s not Fedelity but from Mercedes Benz extended warranty with 0 deductible. I paid $1869 for 2 years. I’ve purchased Endurance’s warranty a week ago and was able to cancel it and get the better deal from Jeff. I’d recommend contact to him and ask about your options. Good luck!

Thank you very much. I will be contacting Jeff. I recently contacted my Mb dealer asking to reduce my 2 yr CPO extended warranty on my GLA 250 from $3495 to $2750 thinking I got a deal (since it was the best local MB deal I could find) till I came across this forum and the wealth of increasingly useful information.

Contact Jeff Jackson for CPO & Extended Warranty purchase!
Thanks to this group, thread and the many comments and recommendations, I called Jeff Jackson of Tafel Motors and he gave me the best deal on a 2 yr/unlimited miles CPO warranty on my 2015 GLA 250 4Matic and a 6 yr/75k extended warranty for my 2017 C300 Coupe. He was very professional on the phone and followed up quickly via the phone and also by sending follow ups via mail. I cancelled warranties on both cars purchased at dealerships at the time of vehicle purchase. Total savings between both warranties: $2500. Highly recommend anyone interested in purchasing a Mercedes Benz extended warranty to context Jeff Jackson. His contact information is below:

Just wanted to add my vote for Jeff Jackson. He has been supremely helpful in working out the details of the CPO warranty and how long I had to buy one. He has been by far the most responsive of all the people recommended on this forum, and will definitely get my business.

I just wanted to thank everyone for this thread. The info in here saved me some $$. I just pulled the trigger on a 2015 GL550 CPO for the wife today. This thread gave me the ammo that I needed in the finance office at the dealership. I called Jeff Jackson last week to get the pricing on the GL CPO extension. I left him a message and he phoned me back shortly thereafter. The pricing he gave me was excellent. The peace of mind - even better. His quotes are below:

2 Year extension on top of the 1 year CPO (3 total years unlimited miles) was $2470 ($2618.20 with 6% tax)
1 Year extension on top of the 1 year CPO (2 total years unlimited miles) was $1720 ($1823.20with 6% tax)

Local dealer in MA quoted me $3495 for the 2 year. Said that he "couldn't touch that price", but he could get real close if I were to buy the prepaid service.

Jeff said the price will increase by 15% if I do not purchase the extension within 30 days of delivery. I'm calling him tomorrow and getting it done.

Her GL has a hair over 50K miles. Now I'm off to research the prepaid service

Thanks!!
