MB AMG Warranty
I'm currently the owner of a 2014 E350, and I'll be taking delivery of my newly built 2019 CLS AMG53 in the next two weeks. I tend to own my cars for 5-6 years and will put 70-90k miles on it during that time. When my local Mercedes dealership quoted me the extended AMG warranty, I was a bit shocked. 7yr/100k mile for $8,300 or 6yr/100k for $7,300. Since I'm a loyal customer, they will give me a $500 discount off those prices...not enough of a discount in my book. I do want the factory warranty, not a third party one.
Can someone give me a sense of what price is reasonable for either of the aforementioned warranties and where I should look to purchase it to get the best price? Thank you!

5 yr 75k $3250
5 yr 100k $4000
6 yr 75k $4950
6 yr 100k $5350
7 yr 75k $5950
7 yr 100k $6350
I'm still shopping around to see if I can get better deals.

Thanks for your response. That at least tells me that my intuition was correct and the quoted prices were too high. If you find a better deal, please let me know. Which dealer did the quote above come from? Mine is from MB of Boerne (TX).

On 2/15/19 bought a CPO 2017 GLC43C4, with 2 yr extended bring warranty out until 5/9/24 unlimited miles, I thought all MB extended warranty's after 2014 are unlimited mileage? Local dealership looked it up and told me I'm good for 1,000,000 miles or 5/9/24. So I'm not understanding who's telling you guys 75K /100K .

The best deal I ended up with on a 6 year, 100k warranty was $5,300 (no tax).

Not sure who you guys have talked to I bought a CPO 2017 GLC43C4, so if you Google UNLIMITED MILEAGE CPO WARRANTY, you can extend that for two additional years after the one year CPO, which starts after the 4y/50k original warranty, that would make it now a five year unlimited mileage warranty, and I paid $3100 to extend that two more years, for a total of seven years unlimited mileage. The only problem I see is don't go over the 50k for the first four years from the original in service date, after that you can drive it to the moon and back. If you guys are talking about extending the warranty on a new car, it appears that a CPO is a better deal. If anyone can show me where I made a mistake, I'd be interested to know.

I agree, having said that the CPO extended is (to me anyway) a better deal. One might argue that ordering new you get exactly what you want, in reality you never get exactly what you want. I reference marriage, as an analogy.
