After putting in an order for a First Edition— changing my mind, and then changing my mind AGAIN— I’m finally receiving my special order G580. It came out far more gorgeous than I anticipated! This is my 4th Gwagon, but my first electric and I’m soooo excited!
The EV G doesn't work in my case because the range is only about 200km effective/real-world and more than that, the recharge time is over 15 hours (Level 2). If I can't make a 400km round trip without charging, it's not going to work. But for shorter distances it's great, I'm sure.
The brakes seem like they won't have the stopping power if you need it... the weakest point on my EQS SUV is the braking...

The key with the braking situation when rock crawling is to be in the appropriate mode in the car. When you’re actually in rock crawling mode, and the system is put into 4L, the name of the game changes big time.

I’m not talking about rock crawling, but just braking on road. The EVs rely on regenerative braking for most of the stopping. That’s not really realistic, especially when you need to make a panic stop. The G580 seems to have the same brake rotors and calipers as the G500/550, which is not great, given the extra weight of the 580. I would see if you can get the G63 brakes installed.
