Front Plate Mounting Bracket

I'm looking for a front (above) bumper mounting bracket to hold my license plate, and every dealer I've called is telling me they only come in the silver color and if I need black I wll have to paint it! There should be someone who has this piece in black, does anyone have any idea of where I can find a black plate holder?

Well, I can't help you out with how to get one, but I can tell you that I requested (and received) my white G500 with a white (front) license plate holder--and I know that the dealer didn't go to any extra lengths to paint a silver one white for me! Good luck!

AG123,

I recommend you contact the following companies below that have G-Wagen parts to assist you.

Vlad at FourbyFour is a great asset: http://fourbyfourclub.com

If you want other sources you can check with the following:

* Sean & Steve at EuroTruck Importers: http://www.eurotruck-importers.com/i...=index&cPath=2

* Guido a Geländewagen technician in Germany that can ascertain parts and ship them overseas as well.

Guido's email: ebay@industrytools.de

Respectfully,

James Van Thach

I am trying to find the original part number for the US spec license plate bracket for a 2002/03 G500.

I would like to find one used but have no idea which number to search for. Image for reference below.

Thank you,

I was looking for the same thing in black. I was only able to find the OEM piece here: http://www.fourbyfourclub.com/W463Bo...ateBracket.htm and it's $236 and in silver!

The aluminum bracket in the above picture from 911 motorsports look like a better option, and less expensive.

Got it. That is strange because when I moved my G550 to Colorado I had to ordered one from the dealer $585 and it was black plastic. I went to pick it up and it was so brittle, flimsy and cheap looking by the time I had it painted to match the G the cost was over $1,000. The one I bought from 911 Motorsports is rugged Power coated Aluminum and there is no need to put screw holes in your bumper. Crazy thing is I was on a 3 month mission just to find a stupid license late mount before I got pulled over at the wrong time. Good luck on your search I am sure they are out there.

Hi guys,

thank you for your suggestions, I really like the 911 Motorsport option. How well does it fit and does it sit really tight?

@shiann you mentioned that you actually ordered the OEM part at the dealership - any chance you have the original part number? I know that this is probably not the cheapest option but sometimes the part number will find a used part.

Thanks,

Daniek
