I cannot find any definitive information on the release date for this or whether or not it will be an 18 or 19 delivery. I have a 2017 on order and I'm really excited to get it but does anyone believe that the new one will come later this year? Will the features be worth waiting for? It seems like they are trying to make it more compliant but I don't really care about refining ride.

My wife will drive it most a few thousand miles / year. Her basic routine is the cross fit box, the super market then the beach (we can drive on our beach). I'm looking for any reason not to wait but don't want to be foolish either.

from everything I've found... seems to be a mid/late 2018 launch as a 2019.

I also couldn't find any info on this. I waited long enough for the MY17 with the NTG5.1, I'm not waiting for the W464

Well according to the opening paragraph of this article about the Maybach G650, the all new W464 will be "introduced" late this year. Which generally means actual launch will be next year as a 2019

Car And Driver says it will debut at the Frankfurt auto show in September of 2017. Production and deliveries in 2018.
Personally, I don't care for the new model. I have one in order, and hope to get it before the new model comes.

There are going to be huge amount of changes to the W464 version. Not sure if you made the purchase already; however, I would wait if I were you. I am thinking of trading my 2015 G550 for the 2019 G63 after a test drive once it is available.
