When you get it send it to me for bead lock wheels and a CTIS system, then you can pull it in the driveway push a button and let all the air out of the tires and pull it in the garage.

There are 10 of them for sale on cars.com and 20 on autotrader.com and the list is growing. They simply don't fit in 99% of home garages.

I called on at least 5 of those on cars.com and I've concluded that only two of those are not already sold orders - and those two are asking $75k and $105k over sticker. I don't think garage size is going to be a huge factor, people leave their $750k motorhomes outside, so a G550 isn't that big of a deal. Plus most that can afford such a toy have the means to store it along with their other 9 cars, or they'll build or remodel a garage to make it fit.

I've got the only Designo manufaktur black opal in the US if anyone is interested. I'm asking $55,000 over sticker so around $288k. Here's a pic - it's a beast:

it's still not going to fit in most peoples home garage. In my neighborhood I have the only garage with the ceiling height off for this car to fit in. No other custom home in our neighborhood has a ceiling height that would accommodate this car

I'm curious how these will fare over time on the resale market. Even the G65s are selling at significant discounts from MSRP 1 year later. Clearly the production of these are far greater in numbers than the 6x6 and and probably on par with G65s.

I never thought about the height aspect of this vehicle. I would image that 90% of us on this board live in an above average neighborhood, I was looking around my neighborhood last night after I read this on my way out and I noticed even the nicest biggest homes around me wouldnt fit a 4x4 in the garage. It wouldnt fit in mine, while we probably all have finished garages, but I doubt many of us have a 10 ft high door.
I am sure the fine population that buy this truck dont care or perhaps prefer it sitting in front of their house as a lawn ornament anyway ( :

It's my understanding that while the market is pretty stout in the states (+$50-75k), it's the market in China, Russia, the Mid-East that are crazy for these trucks. There are just not enough to satisfy the worldwide demand.

I don't understand the hype over the prices of these vehicles. I had a February build slot and put it out on the forum to see if anyone had an interest. I didn't get one inquiry. Now I see units advertised for $50K over MSRP? Perhaps the rest of the world market is stronger. My dealer indicates they haven't had any inquiries. I know it won't fit in my garage and that is an issue with me. We shall see....I guess.

To be honest, I don't think this forum gets a lot of traffic. Compared to Fchat and Rennlist, MBWorld is very small and not very active - it takes days for 1 or 2 people to answer a simple question, if it gets answered at all. PM me your dealer's info, I'll buy it - the old lady wants one too.

these US spec 4x4 are ugly compared to the Euro spec. The rear bumper and rear tail lights are DOT abominations.
I certainly cannot afford one, but to those that can - they should just get a garage built around the 4x4

lol, seems most of you gents are US-based, over here in Europe (Switzerland for me) the car fits nowhere but my garage - LOL!
i would buy one just for the sake of it as trying to drive one here on a regular basis would just annoy other drivers.....

Finally got it to fit in my garage, the problem was to make it in not the garage not the ceiling hieght, so I released the air of the tires, drove it in then pumped it back up. Had to get a 6 gal air compressor to save sometime pumping back the tires. Entire process takes 15 to 20 minutes.
