Hey, it is not for everyone! But for the 4x4² owner that wants to do it the proper way and can afford to do it, this is the kit to go with.
Most people understand that an led light draws much less current than does a standard light bulb. The led lights are driven by a 5v light driver. The 2 front led lights by the headlights are connected together. When branching off them to add 2 more led lights, the current draw is minimal and voltage drop is about .2 volts which I tested.
We are not talking about branching off the power running to the timing sensor of the engine to create something "dangerous". You're talking about simple electrical wiring and at the absolute worst case if it was "dangerous" the "danger" would be blowing a fuse or damage to an led light.
The same guys at LeTech and Brabus told me I shouldn't put 37" tires on my car (as I was one of the first in the US to get a 4x4 and change my tires) because the axles weren't designed for it even though Mercedes and You are selling 18" beadlock wheels to be used with 37" tires.
Also, the Mercedes Benz dealer in Atlanta will activate your upper LED lights using the same exact method and harness as I have. They will warranty the work as well. Anyone can take their truck to them and have the upper LEDS activated and the way they do it is the "dangerous" method I chose.
To to date I have more than 12k miles on my car with my "dangerous" led lights and 37" tires my axles weren't made for. I think life will be ok.

When it comes to "accessorizing" a $240k vehicle, cost is generally not an issue.
CrazyMD, you are definitely one of the few who decide to do the work themselves, and your work is astonishing to say the least.
The majority of owners who can afford this truck definitely won't be trying to tackle projects like these on their own, so we are happy to pay the premium for a product done right, and then pay professionals to install said product.
To each their own, let's keep driving.

The kit Im using doesn't require any disassembly of the vehicle other than simple removal of the headlight and the OCP/sunroof switch panel to be lowered.
I prefer not having the dealer or whoever else drop my headliner to activate 2 LED lights. Im all about simplicity. But yes there are always multiple roads to a destination. I just prefer the simplest and easiest road.

Would be interested to know what they are charging.
I just got 8 kits in, sold 5 right away, still have one standard kit and two with black lamps.

Just found a way to run the cables through the A-Pillar. I just installed a 50" single led bar in my roof rack and i run the cables through the A-Pillar directly to the positive and negative harness in the engine bay. Mine is a 2008 G320 CDI.
