Considering purchasing a g wagon help please!
I am considering purchasing a G wagon and was wondering which one you guys consider to be the best one and the most reliable and useful as a DD. I live in Wisconsin and need something that can get me through 1-2 ft of snow no problem. I’ve been considering the 2002 through 2005 models and would probably get one with really low miles under 40,000 . Or get something new from 2014-2016. I don’t want to be fixing the car all the time and I understand buying an older car from 2002 until 2005 can have some issues but I’m more concerned about the reliability if those issues are taken care of . Another thing I’m very curious about is what we’re all the upgrades from 2002 until 2016 or 17 and when did they happen

loads of info on here about all the different years. Big price difference between 2005 and 2014. Like any used car the newer and better its taken care of the better off you are. Any G will crush the snow no problem.

Buy a MY 13 or newer. They have all the upgrades. You should look for low miles and certified pre-owned. The G is not an economy car by any means. Mileage is awful and maintenance costs (done the right way) are expensive. Buy the latest model year you can afford. Taking care of "issues" can drain your bank account...very quickly. Good luck with your search.

I’ve been looking at the 02-05 g500, my buddy worked for Benz and he said that the g500 is the way to go and that they were much more reliable and perhaps even built better. Do you guys think the 02-05 g500 are at the bottom of there value or will I still take a big hit on one if I were to sell? I see them going for between 35k-45k with between 40,000-60,000 Miles. This may be the route I go but I’m not quite sure yet need some advice and direction

I am new to this forum. I have a 2005 G 500 limited edition # 400 of 500. I just love it and have a long list of upgrades to do. Where on this site do I look for parts? I have silver with grey leather interior. I need rear head rests . I also want to change the 10 pc trim kit black molding ?
