Yep, my son has a 570GT that got a cracked windshield after a few hundred miles and McLaren replaced it no problem. Great brand, and super hot right now. Everyone's converting from Lambos to McLarens
great brand and excellent sports car, however, it’d take a long time for it to be reliable, hence the resale value drops like anything..
Taking my G63 2019 in today to replace the cracked windshield, MB agreed to take care of the price of the glass, so I have to pay for the labor which should be $800 at the local dealer.

Ashley - you are having some bad luck this week. It'll turn around for you! I see it has with Benz only charging for labor! Share photos of the G when you can.
i have posted previously. windshield cracked 1st month, stone chip that spread. 1st replacement was curved, installer put it in, not flush, i have been driving it for 2 months no problem. 2nd replacement came broken. 3rd arrived curved again, Mercedes rep said there was a production error w glass. yesterday new windshield came in and it looks flat and good to go. getting installed tuesday, will let all know how goes. After install i am immediately having EXO-Shield put on. this will prob need replaced every 2 yrs or so, as well as new wipers every 3-6months. all replacement costs covered by my insurance, PA state has good coverage for windshields. will let all know how the windshield and EXO goes. fingers crossed.
talked w people at Alchemy/Exo shield. replacement blades important to prevent any small debris on the blade from scratching the shield. they actually have a wiper deal where they will send u replacements throughout the year. they also recc cleaning off wiper blades frequently. may seem like a pain to some, however getting this glass replaced for me has been a long and frustrating road. i am going to try it and see how goes. there really is no other coating or good alternative at this time, at least not one that provides as much protection from rocks and hard debris.
I have used Clear Plex windshield film for past 6 years on several cars as they really reduce the occurrence of rock chips, honestly I only got a rock chip that is the size of a coin on 140 km/h highway speeds (70mph plus) which is not a bad trade-off.

How often did you have to replace the film and the wipers ? How about it’s resilience to scratches ?
2019 OMG G63 with the speed delimiter in action!!! Wonder if that option is $2200 to account for extra reinforced roof!
Looks like it rolled over and yes, roof is quite intact. I’m still puzzled re what $2.2K is for other than higher speed but I got it anyways (don’t want to regret later)
It’s actually pretty stable at high speeds, it’s just the camera installed on the window seemed to vibrate. The camera installed on the speedo is super stable.
So sorry to keep seeing these cracked windshields. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be on a brand new vehicle. Mine should arrive in 30 days and really thinking about getting the glass breakage warranty from Benz, i was told it was $1,780.00 with no deductible and good for 5 years. However I think I heard somewhere that it is only good for one replacement because of a 5K cap. I have had two H2 Hummers back in 06 and 09. Their windshields were just as upright and quite a bit larger, never had a chip of any kind so i am still debating the glass warranty.

I think if you plan to take road trips or drive on highway frequently, then might be a good option to look into. Frankly I’m also debating this..
had ExoShield put on friday. get car monday. will post review. did the wiper program and upgraded warranty.

I have iridium silver with black package as well but with espresso designo interior - it’s on the boat now, eta dealership 6/20ish. I’ll get front custom & other parts wrapped and all of it ceramic coated but I’m still debating the exoshield. Does the vipers plan come with exoshied?
