2019 G63 22" Wheels on Constraint
Is this true? My SA called me today urgently and said that the district manager for MBUSA stated that 22" wheels are on constraint for the 2019 G63; that we would have to downgrade to 21" wheels in order for the build to continue.
Anyone else verify a similar situation?

I ordered my 2019 G63 with 22 inch rims in Oct 2018, with my SA's guestimated arrival timeframe of roughly Aug/Sept 2019. So far, my SA has not mentioned any issue with 22 inch wheels. OTOH, as of today, I still do not have a production date. My guess is I will possibly be slipped over to a MY2020, which is OK by me, either way.

I have a 2019 G 550 that I have been trying to get the 22" rims in matte black and have been told they are on back order from Mb and won't be available till the G63 have been released. So I then found 2 sources in Europe (in Germany and UK) and both have confirmed that they are being held back by the factory to be sure they have enough rims for the exisitng G63 orders.

Same here. Have an order pending and was told today that the 22" RG4 Wheel is not available and that the car is being spec'd with the much less attractive 21" RG3. Pretty frustrating to order a $165k car and not have the obviously appropriate wheels available.

Further update, 22" BLACK wheels are on constraint. SO, if you have the night package option, you must delete it to get 22" wheels. The 22" Silver wheels are available.

Funny I couldn't get exclusive leather but was able to get 22s in black - they can't even fulfill the option lists - this is some vehicle demand and I thought Ferrari's were rough to get

I m in the same situation...I was able to get Black out trim, 22” rims and dimond stitching but no magno paint. Truck is sitting at dealer waiting to be realesed from storage depo in Toronto.

It’s all personal preference, I understand completely, but we opted for the 21” RG3 Five Stars with the Night Package. Call us crazy, but we really, really liked the look. Typically I go aftermarket HRE on my cars (usually 1” larger in diameter than the stock choices), but these nailed it for us.
We are going Cardinal Red, where all black could really pop and look awesome, but we thought these five stars looked even better than the 22” on that config.
To my knowledge they’re not on backorder, albeit the G63 allocation will be a bigger issue for those that can’t find a closer spot.
We ordered ~Aug/Sept last year and ours is hitting port on Wed, 3/6.... hope to pick up by Fri, 3/15, at dealer. Very excited - sweet looking trucks!

I've just learned that the black 22" wheels for 2019 G63's are now available in both the silver rim and red rim (as on the Edition1). Inquired with dealer for 4 wheels and 4 lug bolt caps is $10,326 OUCH!

I was able to get the AMG 22" black wheels with lug bolt caps, new TPMS with pirelli scorpions all mounted/balanced and shipped from Germany for around $9K. All I had to do after delivery was go to local shop and mount them. It took about 5 minutes of driving and the g picked up the new sensors and registered the pirelli's.
