I'd try and avoid swapping rubber on wheel seasonally if you live in the east coast. Is that what you intended? Always a good idea to have a difference set of rubber on wheel to prevent stress on remounting them.
Also - 22" in snow and ice? I'd drop down to max 20" and put on some blizzaks. Of of the posters has these on their truck and looks bad A$$.

Nitto Ridge Grappler AT - it's 285 40R22 - frankly it's a "why not" - that and "Slippery" profile - you'll be set - remember when icy - for braked stops you're driving 7,000 lbs...
I had a set of very nice winter Wheels/Tires for my 2015 G63. As it turn out the recommended winter wheels/tires for the 2019 G63 are identical but the offset on the wheels is now 35mm instead of 50mm. I was able to find a set of 15mm spacers and 60mm M14X1.5 lug nuts on Amazon and voila. I later found out (after installing the wheels) that the TPMS sensors from the previous G63 are no longer compatible so I will be changing them soon and I will have my body shop paint the red circle on the outer edge of the rim in order to match the look of the edition 1 wheels and should be all set for some stylish AMG snow driving!
When my G63 comes in (in 2020) I am considering blizzaks on a 463 industry 20"s (if the offsets work out like stock 20"s). Always had good luck with blizzys.
They look good on the G in these photos from instagram:

Anyone find a 20" winter wheels option for the g63? (While i like the look of the 463Industries I am not interested in dealing with spacers on the G right now). I am hoping folks getting their 63's will be selling their 20" wheels for an upgrade. Anyone know the spec on the 20" wheel (20x10, but what offset?)
My G63 is on order with 21” wheels which will come with all season tires. For the winter, I am planning to get a second set of 20” wheels which I will fit with winter tires (live in the northeast). I really like the 20” AMG wheels with black accents that you can get on the G550. But I notice these wheels are an inch more narrow (8.5 v. 9.5) than the 20” AMG wheels on the G63 and have a slightly different offset (32 v 35). Would these work on the 63 or would that not be advisable? The tire size is the same for both. I know very little in this area so any education would be appreciated.

They will work perfectly fine and if you actually check the spare on your G63 you will be surprised to find that it is actually that same 20" AMG wheel with the black accent you plan to buy. You may want to go with narrower tires for the winter though similar to the size they have on the spare. (265/50 20)
you are talking a couple millimeters, it’s basically identical.. and they are built for the vehicle (g550/g63)
you can literally put any offset between 0-55 on a gwagon..
guys who want wider wider more aggressive stances (shops like platinum and rdb) do really low offsets so tires go past wheel well
the only time you need to concern yourself with offsets are if you have a really thick aftermarket off-road tire or some 24’s which could possibly have some slight rubbing on inner plastic..

Thanks again Joz - super helpful in this space. Cheers,
The TireSize.com link is awesome and have been using it frequently, I probably should have sent that originally.
Again, you should have no concerns, I just wouldnt opt for the 19" g550 wheels as those will go deep under the G63 fender due to the +52 offset and wheel dimensions.
I am running Dakar SuperTurismos on my GLE63 and I THINK they might fit on the GWagon. I am just not sure if they are offset at 43 or 53 offset. I might try those with 285/50/r20 Blizzaks v2.
I just saw this awesome Ed1 from Braidan's of Canada (@braidantire) with them on it and it looked great. Also a pic of my GLE63 with them.
@braidantire in canada hooked this Ed1 up nicely This is my current vehicle with the same wheels (20x10" with blizzaks)
