Warranty Voided?

Warranty Voided?
If you put spacers on your G to accommodate non-stock big huge tires, wouldn’t this almost surely void the G-owner’s MB factory warranty?
Imagine if a MB dealer is presented with an otherwise in-warranty status G63 with some sort of a steering issue, let’s say like the famous death wobble, or some kind of a tracking problem, braking problem, wandering issues, etc. Suppose the diagnosing MB repair tech then discovers there are wheel off-sets/spacers on the car. I’d be surprised, even shocked, if the MB dealer wouldn't void the bloke’s MB factory warranty, at least in terms of any repair(s) having to do with “front end” problems.
I’d really love to put nice big mudders on my 2019 G63 (when it eventually arrives), but no way in heck am I going to do this if it requires spacers, and blows my MB EFW on my $200,000 car!

A couple guys on here said their dealers are the ones who installed the spacers for them, so my guess is it doesn’t void warranty, similar to aftermarket wheels.
Also all the spacers available for g wagons are aircraft grade, often built in usa or Germany , and vehicle specific/ hub centric.
i think the long wait for the trucks (including myself) give everyone more time to worry about things such as this or bullbar removal

If you ran into static from a dealer who states they have the ability to void your warranty over spacers without there being a suspension issue present, please contact the very organization that is responsible for your rights as a consumer. www.sema.org
They have counsel for these very things. I work in the automotive aftermarket and have my entire adult working life, spacer can not and will not void your warranty. No different than a set of aftermarket wheels with a more aggressive offset would void your warranty. Now if they were proven to cause a premature wear on a suspension component the dealer MIGHT be able to void other parts of your suspension warranty. If you window motor gives out and you have a set a spacers on the car, you're covered and any dealer who says otherwise deserves to wind up in court.

In any event, maybe we can get some clarity here if those folks would please let us know if it was their MB dealer, and if so, which MB dealership in what city?

BTW, I did not say that a MB dealer would void the entire warranty. What I said was it could void the warranty re: “front end problems.” Obviously, problems in other irrelevant areas of the car, such as a door window, etc., would be unaffected by warranty coverage over a dispute about front end issues.

Well... 1st things 1st ... let's separate Warranty and Pay-To-Play.
if you add spacers/wheels/tires from other-than-your-MB-dealer - then whoever INSTALLED those spacers/wheels/tires is the 1st party responsible to help you on "wobble, or some kind of a tracking problem, braking problem, wandering issues".. your MB dealer is your backup choice and your dealer's work on THOSE TYPE OF ISSUES CAUSED BY AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT will be Pay-To-Play.
Installation of aftermarket equipment does not affect MB warranty on other MB parts/equipment - unless there is specific gross negligence in installation/performance of the aftermarket pieces...

Having some kid owned and operated, with 1 shade tree mechanic, side of the road garage shop working on my EFW 10/100k $200,000 car? And, who knows what sort of various hidden damage the kid causes whilst supposedly only working on the spacers? Oh, and the dreaded finger pointing that will undoubtedly ensue when the MB dealer tells me they’re not honoring my MB front end warranty repairs, and the kid at the little wheel shop points his finger back at MB, saying “Jeepers, it’s not my fault!” Not fun, been there, done that. So, thanks, but No thanks!
