Should I consider H&R 31MM spacers for the G?
Hello!
I've read numerous feedbacks regarding spacers on the G wagons, but I've also seen how much more aggressive the stance it gives on such demanding truck!
Should I consider the H&R TRAK+ 31MM spacers?

Your inputs are kindly appreciated!
See attached photo of the current look of the G Truck. I like to keep that OEM look but make the stance a bit more aggressive and I feel by utilizing spacers will provide that look.

If you are doing spacers H&R are the best in quality. 31mm is a good bit (1.2") of stance on the G, def noticeable. [I personally wouldn't go more than 20mm].
Also - your truck looks great! Those wheels are very cool.

I think the '16+ G adapted the wide fender flares from the G63s and thats another reason why i want to get spacers, to have the wheels nice and flush with the wider flares; i wouldnt mind a bit of a poke out too!
If i may i ask, why wouldn't you got more than 20mm?

I am no expert in the matter. I just read split opinions on spacers, one side says they are fine the other side is hesitant about them in the sense that it could add some extra stress to the car, and could void warranty. The bigger they are I guess the more stress

I mean, tbh, i love the way it sits now, but i feel it can use a bit more of an aggressive stance

Potentially how it would look with 31mm spacers
See attached photo of how the wheels would look with the H&R 31mm spacers on, in relative to how the wheels would be flushed with the fender flares, per rep from Gwagenparts.com

With the AMG flares, well worth it. Really makes the stance aggressive and fills the gap as it should be from the factory. H&R quality is excellent. I feel like the car drives better with the wider track as well. I don't see what components the stress would be added to, especially since you have solid axles. Others running larger rims sizes or offroad tires probably stresses the suspension more.

If it’s an older g out of warranty, by all means, have at it! Jack it up, space out the wheels, outfit it with 37 inch mudders, etc. And, take the car out into the boondocks, climb over huge boulders, roll it over, and get it fixed, unless totalled. Have a ball! If, however, your car is a new g under warranty, personally I’d be concerned about blowing my MB factory warranty, at least on front end problems, given the various after market modifications. IMHO, JM2C, and YMMV!

Just bought some a month ago - took about 30 to install, but I have all the right tools. I've had 3 G63s and I can't believe I waited this long - even my wife noticed the burlier look (and I just have stock wheels/tires). Do it!!

but yeah, i don't think some spacers would void out factory though? i don't know how it can..

I use BORA spacers instead. They have been really tested across different platforms of trucks/SUVs. Also there customer service has been outstanding.

I'm trying to ready my home for a ton of guests tonight. Tried on both laptop and iPhone to load pics and I couldn't figure it out and don't have time to mess with it. Sorry. There are other threads with pics. Look for member jesserohr or something like that - his thread has some pics and info.

31mm? Gee, go big or go home.... 50mm H&R spacers here. Gives the truck a nice modern wide stance. My daily driver, only a small change in braking ability offset by braided steel brake lines. Drives great!

I have the H&R 31mm and they have been on my 02 G500 for about a year and love how it changed the look of my G. So far I have no issues with them. I got them after I got the new BfGoodridge K02 tires over a year ago and I've put about 15k miles on them.
One thing I've noticed after installing the spacers is the improvement in handling thru corners. Before if I go thru corners too quick, it felt like the G was gonna lift up and tip over.
Here's a couple pics of my G with the 31mm spacers
Here with his older brother, 1971 BMW.
My next plan is a lift, maybe 2" and bigger 35" tires.
