Richie-Richies Switching from G63 to Jeep Wranglers?!
Anyone here have a G with a Meyer snowplow mounted? Post a pic.

2019+ G Wagons with IFS I’m sure drive nicer, but I’ve always enjoyed the feel and capability of a solid front axle so I’m thrilled to have found a “luxury jeep” with a great interior and gobs of power and sound.
Plus heated seats, flip up roof, Bluetooth, nav, and my girl next to me. Good times!

My G63 needs smaller wheels and bigger tires to make the ride my enjoyable, so that will be my first modification. I hate the trend of giant wheels -on any vehicle-but particularly on a 4x4.

Now, with the 392 Wrangler available, I'm already second-guessing putting a bunch of money into my G63. The status aspect is fun, but the more I drive it and the more I deal with its shortcomings, the more I don't get why anyone would buy one. Maybe that's why mine had 6 previous owners in 40,000 miles. Maybe it will grow on me.

I agree that a Jeep can be made much more capable off-road much more easily and with much less cost than the G, but there's definitely something cool about off-roading in a luxury vehicle. The feel of the wood steering wheel in your hands as you navigate the rocks.... Plus, you certainly get noticed out from the crowd....

That's it with Jeeps... you can get darn near any part for them! We have to hunt around Europe for a decent set of rock sliders...
