Just passing a long the information on this new kit from MBRP (big domestic exhaust company). This is what I am putting on my G63 as it's exactly what I am looking for.
Listing shows all 2003-2018 W463 G500/550/G55/G63/G65
- T304 stainless steel system with TIG welds
- High Clearance (doesn't reduce ground clearance) and gets rid of those silly tips under the running boards
- Isn't priced ridiculously expensive just because you bought an AMG
- Only moderately louder than the factory AMG system which is just what these things need.
This is a simple bolt on kit that shows up in a box ready to install in your driveway in about an hour with hand tools. Can't wait for mine to show up.
Price is less than a thousand bucks for both sides.

Couple shots of this kit installed on my G63.
I have the factory steps removed because I am getting rock rails. As you can see nothing hangs below the frame. The lowest part of the exhaust is the factory CATs on the downpipes.

I'm looking for something exactly like this! Those side pipes absolutely kill ground clearance. I was going to take the truck to an exhaust shop and have them modify the existing tips but this may be easier. Only concern here is that the mufflers on this are much smaller than the OEM mufflers. I don't mind a small increase in noise but don't want anything obnoxiously loud or something that drones.
@JesseRohr . How did you mount your spare with the wheel face on the outside (vs the original position of it closest to the truck)?

So this kit is only marginally louder than my factory kit was.
I bought the spare tire bracket from 911 Motorsports to “flip” the spare.

I'm stock for now but the high clearance exhaust, 285/55s, and running board delete are all going to happen in the next month or so. I also need to find a fab shop to make me a set of frame mounted sliders. Read your review on the Fox Shocks and that may be on the list too.

Cold start vid as promised with a couple revs. (It's 91 degrees here so not that cold of a start)

Probably going with Rockmiester rails or something custom/locally built.

Heads up guys.... MBRP have apparently updated their fitment info and are now saying this kit only works for 2012-2018. Info provided above is not longer correct. I just purchased this kit from an authorized retailer, and their info is not up to date either .... actually it appears most retails haven't got the word yet because many still list 2003-2018 compatibility. The problem is the rear tailpipe section is 2.5" too long for my 2010 G55 AMG, Everything else fits, but as manufactured, this is NOT a direct bolt on kit. The rear tailpipe section will need to be shortened, and the pipe expanded, because shortening it will result in removal of the slip flare. I just found all this out the hard way. Currently trying to contact MBRP to see if they're will to help sort things out... With some very minimal tweaking, MBRP could offer two version, one for the earlier G55s and the current for 2012-2018

So... A couple days have gone by and still no follow up from MBRP. Spoke with Jody Maynard, in MBRP's Canada office. She indicated there was nothing she could do, but suggested I call Jessie Rohr, their US based Sales Rep. (also appears to the the Thread starter here). Left message for him on Monday. Still awaiting response. The authorized dealer I purchased from, out on the west coast, has been more responsive, but indicated this was all news to them, and they were unaware of the fitment issues. Hopefully between the dealer and manufacturer, someone will step up. In the meanwhile, I would caution anyone interested in this kit to be prepared for additional fabrication work unless you have a 2012-2018 G63.
