Hey guys, I'm currently considering on getting a Akrapovic downpipe with the OEM muffler. Has anyone had this setup, how does it sound? Any input will be greatly appreciated

Bump. I am also interested. Would love to know what the down pipe setup sounds like on the G63

We've done this on catless and catted. With the stock exhaust it'll increase sound by 15% to 20% louder.

We didn't use Akrapovic, we used another brand. Unfortunately we didn't record any sound clips, sorry.

@3WD what brand did you use (for catted) ? I am looking to improve the exhaust note thx.

It's called Rushplux, 50CEL catted NO CEL. Improves sound and spooling response as well.

It's kinda pricey though, $4300 retail for the DP. We would suggest going with Akrapovic, cheaper and it's 200CEL.
