Fabric Straps under rocker panel- What are they?
Sorry for what may be a dumb question, but what are the fabric straps under the rocker panels? Exhaust hangers? Mine are torn and I have no idea what they are for. 2015 G63.

Maybe previous owner tried o tie something down but the straps look like they got burned up on exhaust.

These are tie down straps from shipping. My brand new 2016 G63 had them when it arrived off the truck at the dealership.

that strap looks pretty weak to hold a car down... and has plastic clip on end... I doubt it held car anywhere

I agree. The only thing it could hold down would be a cover or something similar. No way the plastic clips would hold the weight of this car shifting around.
