Do any of you that have ordered a 2020 have an actual build date yet? I am being told Oct build, late 2019 delivery. Don't have an actual date yet. Not sure when the 2020 go on the line.

I ordered a 2020 and have a PO. I have no details on build dates yet but I have a PO# and a dealer who said it'll be in by late November. Frankly if it came before 2020 I'd be delighted!

Yes! Would like to get the 179 write off this year!

 

2020 G63 first production is mid November. Very very low chance to take delivery this year, but you can sign the contract and pay the car in full last day of this year to write off, if your dealer wants to help you.

 

Nearly every dealer will not take payment for a vehicle until they've been invoiced from the manufacturer for said vehicle first. I've offered Mercedes, Porsche, Land Rover, Cadillac, and GMC dealers the same offer..to pay for the car in full prior to it arriving on the lot (for sec.179 purposes) and am refused every time.

 

-As long as a Vin# has been created for said vehicle you can sign up, most dealers are happy to do that as of course they get paid sooner..

 

The VIN number is created literally 2-3 days before end of production. Hopefully a dealer will do this for someone. I've NEVER had a dealer complete a transaction prior to them getting invoiced. I've been doing Sec. 179 vehicles for decades and get the same story with every random dealer I've ever dealt with.

A PO means there is a build date attached to it.

 

Not 100%, my production date is Aug 22nd, I receive my VIN from dealer on Aug 6th.

 

My Dealer told me that my 2020 G63 will be here first week of October so is that a lie? been waiting for more than a year now.

My dealer still does not have pricing for my 2020 build. Estimated delivery is December but I expect it to be January

 

the car you build online should be the MSRP Plus shipping charge

 

Online still shows 2019 pricing and configuration.

Really surprised to hear people talking about Oct deliveries for a 2020 model. My completed G63 with VIN is on a ship with a sept 22 estimated US port arrival date and expected to be at dealer second week or so in Oct. It is a 2019. Would there really be 2019 and 2020 both delivering in Oct? That seems odd to me

 

Not Oct Delivery, Oct Build

 

Typically Oct build is when the new MY starts for the G's with delivery to the US in December in my past experience.

 

That would make more sense to me than a 2020 showing up at a dealer in Oct. that’s why I asked
