2020 G63 - which wheels?!
I’m trying to decide on which wheels. I think the black 22s look killer, but having had summer only tires on my X5M, X6M and X7 - I’m over having to have two sets of wheels to make progress even in Seattle’s light winters. The new night-package compatible 21s look OK enough, but there are no real pictures of them yet (that I could find).
I’m unsure of the impact of the trail package on the 20s - but my diesel full-size range rover with its (ugly) 20s was amongst the most fun I’ve had, as it felt far less precious and more indestructible on crappy roads (deep water, potholes etc) than the lower profile rims + tires on other cars - including the Supercharged LWB (with 22s) that replaced it.
Which way to go!? Thoughts?.....

In snow I always run snowtires (blizzaks), but that is in snowy east coast.

Hi, I have a g63 designo night black magno. I went for the 22” satin black (295/40 r22)
If you want to keep the same size (either because you don’t want to buy a second set of wheels or if your winter wheels are also 22”) you are not constrained to all season tires, which in my view, are sub optimal to separate winter and summer sets.
On 22” wheels you can have 275/45 r22 installed. I don’t know in the US but In Europe you can chose among quite a few, the best being Pirelli sotto zero and Conti. The stretch will be a tolerable 1%.
there was a long post here months ago about this , can be easily found.
