The cars land at Halifax, so you’re closer to the port than I am in Toronto... but feel lucky that they didn’t charge you $5K as above. I think the “AMG pricing” is complete BS and would not be supported by MB Canada. Dealers charge whatever they can get away for freight and PDI.

So in BC provincial tax is 20% on vehicles over $150K? And GST is 5% and on top? So you’re paying 25%?! That’s insane.
I thought the rest of Canada was bad at 13%.

Come on, it can't be $10K for all dealers -- this is just one dealer trying to hose its customers. Talk to the head of MB Canada and tell him you're going to the media if this isn't corrected. I paid $2695 in Ontario for a 2019 G Wagon, freight and PDI. Delivered 3 months ago.

i am waiting for MB canada to reach out to me for the sales survey so i can give my thoughts on the whole buying process... funny thing is that i havent received any such surveys or phone calls.

i think the problem with complaining to MB canada is that they dont seem to be responsive or want to deal with individual sales deals. i was made to go through all sorts of ridiculous background checks to prove that i was not a car flipper when buying my G550. it was beyond ridiculous, they were also trying to force me to trade in a car which i was not planning to do at all. i reached out to MB canada who basically told me that you have to go through the dealership management for any issues related to individual sales deals. it's kind of annoying really, they were of zero help in my situation.
