I just swapped my 20" tires for a set of BF Goodrich KO2 TA and will use them year round. Looks pretty aggressive but ride comfort is actually great and noise at a minimum. Winter approved.

I like your style!!! Looks Great. I just bought a CPO 2106 g63 and it had Yokohamas Advan ST summer tire so when I negotiated for the G dealer said would give me 50 % split on the tire I wanted. So I told them to order the Pirelli Scorpion ATR all Terrain tire 275/50R20 for my stock AMG rims. I drop off the car on Thursday and then when I pick up the G they put on Pirelli scorpion ZERO all season tires which I think are not as good in snow like the ATR tire. I was thinking like you get an ALL TERRAIN tire that could be run 12 months a year in NYS also good for BEACH.
I also have a RAM 1500 and just put on a set of GENERAL GRABBERS ATX looks just like the BFG.
What tire did you have on your G before you replaced??
LOOKING GOOD!!!

Thanks man. I really like the look myself.
The car was delivered with a set of Pirelli Scorpion Zeros which is an all season tire but not approved for winter here in Scandinavia. So I bought a set of Nokian Hakkapelittas proper winter tires and swapped rubbers on the wheels last winter and then back over summer. But I have been looking for a more aggressive looking tire since then but been hesitant due to road noise primarily. Until I test drove a friends car (also a RAM 1500) a couple of weeks ago that has the BF Goodrichs. So now I will most likely ride on these year round. So far I am super pleased. Grip is great.
I have Cooper STT Pro tires on my three other cars which are really to hard of a tire for winter but I never drive them very far in winter (or summer).
First picture with the Nokias and second after the change. Excuse the dirty car...

Sweuk, What size KO2 is this? I tried to zoom in on the picture, but can't pick up the sizing. I'm thinking about doing the exact same once mine arrives.

They are 275/55 R20 so exactly the same as original tires except 55 height instead of 50. Maybe you could get away with 285s as well but I didn't want to chance it.

Just ordered a set of BF Goodrich KO2 TA in 275/55R20 for my 2016 - thanks for this info. Replaces the old street sport tires that came with the SUV when I bought it. Will post an update when they are installed next week.

I have Atturo A/T tires 285/55/20 on my G63 with 30MM spacers.
They’ve been decent. I paid $160 a tire. They come with a 50k warranty. Not noisy or loud. Handling is also good.

"All Season" as a tire spec does not mean "winter, spring, summer and fall" - "general purpose" would be a more appropriate designation. If you want a 4-season tire that works in snow, rain, mud, gravel and wet/dry pavement, choose an "All Terrain" tire with the "3-peak/snowflake" rating. I installed Yokohama Geolanders (275/55R20), but most everyone else on this forum prefers beefier knobby treads in as large a size as possible.

Here's a quick primer on tire sizing for those not familiar with the coding. Example: "275/50R20"
"275" is the tire width in millimeters: 275 mm = 10.8 inches
"50" is the ratio of tire width to sidewall height: 50 means .5 x 275 = 137.5 mm or 5.4"
"R" means radial
"20" is the wheel diameter in inches that the tire fits
Putting this all together, this tire has an overall height (diameter) of 20" + (2 x 5.4") = 30.8" (782.3 mm) and a circumference of 30.8" x 3.14 = 96.7" (2456.5 mm). (neglecting round-off error)
This is what happens when standards are set by international committee.
Wheel sizing comprises an additional set of dimensions that includes diameter, width, offset and bolt pattern.

So is there any risk or change in ride going 50 to 55? Any re-calibration needed? I am looking to change my stock 275/50/20 to something a little more all season/aggressive/all-terrain and better in snow. Liking those BF's.

You do end up with about 3% error in speed and odometer. At 100 mph, you're actually going 103 mph (probably won't increase the ticket fine), and every 10K miles, you'll actually be at 10,300 miles. Re-calibration should be possible with a MB SDS system, but I've never read on this forum anyone who has inquired or done this.

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
I ran 305/65/20 Toyo AT II's - great tires for the rig considering the weight but sensetive to tire pressure... and they are one of the few speed rated over 114.... with the EC tune we saw 148 in UT and they were really solid. and smooth - plus balanced out with less then a ounce on each rim ( forgestar custom). and they handles all the trails we did in Moab and telluride ( imogene etc) easily without needing the lockers .... the 305's btw run really wide. in fact they were almost as wide in reality as the 345's in the rear of our C63 widebody....
I've run the Atii's on a 200 series LC as well - had 30k on that set and they did very well offroad and lots of highway.
I run Toyo RT's in 35" on my 80 series and will consider them when we get another G....they're a bit more grippy but handle well....

SWEUK, you have one of my favorite colors of G63...my car is more humble 2015 G63 solar beam. Car shop people have recommended Michelin CrossClimate 2 275/50R20 to me...what do you think? I live in Chicago and rain/snow handling matters, as well as the normal city potholes year round.
Appreciate your thoughts...others please chime in.
Thank you.
