Thanks for the update Bob. Parts supply must not be an issue for the G production then. Basically sounds like everything will be pushed about a month
then so early May delivery likely looking like early June.

I agree. If you watch the video I posted that shows some of the production line there are engines stacked to the ceiling, which shows that parts are on hand to build numerous Gs for a while. If parts run out though and all supply chains are not re-established future production could be hindered.

Ya, I was thinking that when I watched that video, looks like they stock a very good supply of parts so given that
my G was supposed to be built the week after the shutdown, I'm sure it will be one of the first off the line upon
their return.

As soon as I get an update to my order, which had a March 30th build, I will let everyone know what the new date is.

Yes they did, and it was in response to an email I sent to the office of Magna Steyr that I found on their web site. It came in a format that disclosed it as a General Inquiry. I also emailed others that I found on the web site and received another reply but it was just a news release I had read online.

Here is what i got from corporate:

Dear XXXXX

There has been no official update provided at this time for restarting production. Hopefully we will know within the next week. The company will continue to adhere to recommendations of the international, national and local authorities.

Kind Regards,

Seems like a typical corporate answer but until it starts I guess it is the correct answer, but I heard directly from the plant so they should know since they have to tell employees when to come back.

I just got an email from my dealer:

"We are still showing that the plant will start production on April 20. Once the plant restarts, the ETA for the production will update. It has not changed as of yet."

As stated above, we will all find out for sure soon!

Well, the current Graf shutdown is scheduled thru August 19.... so the Graf office reply is correct.

Austria does have a aggressive Covid-Exit strategy - with small retail shops reopening April 14 - and all "trade business" reopened May 1 - with restaurants and hotels scheduled to be reopened mid-May.

That said - supply chain is the issue - since Germany ranks #4 nationally reported in Covid cases - Italy #3.

It is reasonable to suspect Graf will remain closed due to supply chain issues - however, we will see what we will see.

Ya that would help to know how long the delay actually is. Can you please share your original date. Thanks.

On Feburary 22,2020 the ordered was officially entered. The vehicle was to arrive on June. Now apparently, June/July the vehicle will get built so Maybe August/September delivery?

I wasn't in a rush, never discussed actual deliver. I know my Production Order was issued on 02/22/2020 and we were discussing June/July delivery. Now that June/July becomes the actual production, perhaps August/September delivery? It may be even later, not sure to be honest.

Magna is a contract manufacturer however that builds many different makes of vehicles.
Will be interesting to see if they open up next week as they had said last week or if they remain
closed until the end of the month.

Exactly - Austria has their own restrictions in regards to the virus compared to Germany and other countries in Europe; however, we shall soon see!

To their credit - end-of-last-week/this-week - Graf has been updating "most" NetStar production slots originally scheduled end-May/early-June. "Some" slots that time period have not changed (yet) - "most" have been moved out 2-4 weeks. Interestingly - it seems they are updating a few more each day - so someone is working that window.

So far the "short term" earlier production slots by-and-large have not seen much movement (yet).

The reason I say "to their credit" - is when Vance here in the US has had delivery delays - rarely was anything updated on production timing.

At lease Graf is making a effort - especially heartening when they are working shelter-at-home..

Here in the US - it seems "most" shelter-at-home Sales Advisers don't even look - meaning a member here gets quoted "still looks to be end-June" when in fact that Graf moved that production slot to end-July on April 4th.

Sales Adviser's who "Don't-Look-When-Asked" should be hit with a bat ... sure the situation is fluid - and will remain fluid for awhile - but there is no reason to be stand-off'ish when it's literally a 2-3 min check on NetStar.

Thanks for the information! The problem is when we ask our Sales Advisors we have no idea if they have checked or not! If it were me I would feel obligated to check for a customer since it is just part of the job and as you said just a couple minutes.

you are so dead on. My sales guy who has been in the business for over 20 years told me that most sales people do not have access to NetStar over the web with ID/PW... only certain employees have access. therefore you need to use the dealer computers to access. who knows! so far, (which you told me by looking at my PO) my build is “on schedule” to be built 3rd week of july and still “expected” to be delivered by September month end... thoughts?

I was updated by my dealer today and production of my order (the one in Desert Silver) has shifted about a month to the right, which also allowed for a couple changes:
