Hi
anyone ever removed their side mirror covers? I've seen several videos on other MB models that look similar but want to make sure. Replacing with carbon fiber set.
thanks

I am thinking about changing my mirror covers - has anyone done it (2020 G550) and if so can you tell me how they come off?

Let us know how its done. I would like to change the cover as well. I am hoping it can be done without prying the mirror out.

I saw those but I am not sure how they would look - they would have to be super thin to not be noticeable!

I ordered a set of slip over covers in dry CF so I will report back as to how they fit after I receive them.

I got mine and they just came back from the painter so I am ready to apply them - any hints? Did you start at the front of back? From what I understand I should apply the tape on the covers and then place them over the mirrors. It looks like lining up the edges closest to the mirror glass first is the best way to ensure that they fit properly.

I started from the front, there is really no trick, just make sure you put enough tapes inside the cover

Yeah, lining up the front edge is most important and it should drop into place after that. The paint shop gave me some adhesive promoter so once they go on they are never coming off! Pics to follow later today...
