Bought an OEM one from Autohaus in Burbank. Finally put it on today after dealing with the headache of registering the car for the first time with the CA DMV closed for out of state transactions! Let's say it involved wiring an obscene amount of money for sales tax to a random person in a not so great part of town with a million errors processing the license plate issuance! Luckily got my CA license plates (finally!) and the star put on.

My OEM Black Star arrived yesterday via fed-ex, and as newyorktoLA said, it took literally seconds to remove and install. There were only 11 in stock in Germany....for which the supplier had to order from.

Hi Bob - I used a non-metal credit card and lightly/easily pried it off....It was very simple and the new one just clips in.
I absolutely LOVE the blue interior.. I get so many compliments on not only the G Wagon itself, but the color, and then when some want to see inside, they also LOVE the Blue.

Thanks and glad to hear it....Blue is not for everyone, but it is for us - mine is done and waiting for a ship over. I'll shoot you a pic of the Blue center armrest when it comes in, just in case you want to swap, but I told my wife that she may like it more than a Black one!
By the way, since I am getting the stars off my wheel centers painted I may just pop off the one on the grill and spare tire cover and send them to the painter as well.

Anyone willing to let me borrow their front & rear chrome ones, as long as they are not broken? I want to send them to my painter since he is backed up and it will take about a month, which is about when my G will arrive. And when it does I will take mine off and send them back to whomever helps, and pay the shipping, etc. The closer to Florida the better I guess. PM me if you can help - thanks.

Damn that looks nice!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾 Anyone have a connection where I can get the OEM front star in black and the rear star on the wheel cover in black delivered in the next few days? Everywhere I've called says it's on backorder. One dealer in FL had 5 sets but they're all spoken for via special order. Any help is greatly appreciated. Otherwise, ill just get on the wait list and order for Jan/Feb delivery. I would've ordered these while my G was being built but I didn't pay close enough attention to the details of the night package and assumed it came with it.
Anyone had success painting theirs black? I have a good paint shop nearby and might consider that as well.
Thanks but just took delivery and have the existing chrome ones that I'll likely be looking to sell as well once I figure out a way to get the black ones. If no black ones are available now, ill probably look to have the existing ones painted instead.

I know, that was someone else that might want a Chrome one. I had all of mine painted Desert Silver to match - front, back, and all 4 wheels, and the one on the steering wheel Gloss Black.
