Vessel -Germany to Mexico before US/CAD?

Hey guys,

So my G is apparently on a ship en route to North America. I tracked it and the route has the vessel going to Veracruz Mexico
as its first stop. Does this make any sense? It's a straight shot over to Halifax so I thought I was going to be the first stop but
now it's looking like the last. Does it makes sense? I heard the stop might be to pick up some A-Classes that are built there
for the US and CAD markets but seems like a very odd route to pick up in Mexico from Europe.

Thanks for any help!

Could be lots of reasons. Veracruz is closest to Mexico City, so they maybe discharging Euro built cars there. Then to Alabama to load GLE's and GLS's for Europe. And the ship isn't necessarily filled with only MB's. It can easily have other brands on there as well.

Ya, I guess my question was more to ask if Europe to Mexico to USA to CAD was a common route
for one vessel to follow. I guess it very well could be.

Mine came down to Veracruz, Mexico for import and the vessel stopped in Baltimore and other places in the US before arriving here but it could be vessel specific

It ports in Mexico on the 16th so I'm guessing alot sooner than 3-4 weeks. Another guy that has one on that ship has an ETA to Baltimore of May 27th so I would say Florida somewhere later in the week of May 18th. I think the ship will finally hit Halifax first week of June.

I'll let you know what I hear since I told the salesperson that I want to see it the day it arrives. He told me he checks the status every day but I asked him about it when I saw it added to their web site! But I will keep pestering him, especially in a week or so.

What is the ship's name? I assumed it is on the same ship since they had the same build dates but I will ask the dealer to be sure.

Btw, I'm not 100% that my G is on the Glovis Chorus. A delivery to Syracuse with the same build date as me is on that ship so I assumed mine would be the same. Might not be, my sales guy doesn't give me any informed.

A gaggle of MB's
BZ - our automated dealer systems post new MB's to dealer inventory when MB invoices that MB to the dealer - invoicing general happens in a window sometime between 1-da-before-dealer-shipped/to-one-day-after-shipped to dealer.

CC... you are the first Canook I know of that has ever tracked vessel from Germany...FYI MB's "partner" plant in Mexico uses Altamira as outgoing port...

From my SA: "Your G Wagen is on the Glovis Chorus. Currently shows an ETA at the port in Brunswick of May 22."

At the most. I wish it was the Desert Silver build arriving but I plan to check it out and take it for a drive, and who knows...my wife may decide she likes it well enough to get it!

What color is this one again? Does it have everything you chose, just the exterior color is not what you finally decided on?

This one is the Platinum Magno without the diamond stitched napa and 2 tone dash, which the Desert Silver has but the interior colors are the same. The Desert Silver build is about $8k more due to the color and interior upgrades so for a little extra we may as well get what we want!

Platinum magno is beautiful. I would have went magno but with all the extreme weather we get here, I didn't
want to deal with being so careful with paint. My detailer deals with alot of matte paints and he advised that
they aren't the best choice for the Canadian winters.

Yeah, I did not want to take the chance with the upkeep, especially for a daily/rainy day driver. I do plan to get PPF on the front and ceramic coating all over but I live on the beach and the salt air is just as bad as living up north in the winter, if not worse since it is year round here!

Ah I guess living on the beach would be cause for concern with the upkeep for sure.

Let's hope the Glovis Chorus gets in and out of Brunswick without incident. They're going to cut the Golden Ray into large sections to get it out of Brunswick. Both ships owned by Hyundai.
