W463 G63 Muffler Delete (Finally Did it)

Before I go spend 1000s on a new fancy exhaust, I wanted to experiment how deleting the mufflers would sound. I know Muffler Delete is one of the most asked questions or searched videos by G owners but usually all you see on the internet is folks unbolting the Mufflers. I still have the factory mufflers and can always revert back to factory anytime. The truck sounds absurd now and the turbo spools are just music to ears. I must say there's little drone on the highway but it doesn't really bother me as this is not my daily driver. Here's the video :

Sounds pretty good....sometimes horsepower is lost when back pressure is reduced...have you noticed any lost power or lost torque?

Also...since you had a shop do this...and I am pretty OCD...lol—-I would suggest having the muffler shop recut the exhaust pipes to be even and not protrude past the running boards...it will give it a finished look and save your back seat passengers from burning their legs/ankles when they exit the back seat...Cheers..nice ride..

thanks man! I haven’t noticed any power loss. I thought free flowing air rather increases power? I’m fine with either, I didn’t buy this truck to race anyway lol. Horsepower and torque still feels the same.

I will be going back to shop to fix the tips. im not a big fan of the exhaust tips they used. It’s just what they had in the shop at the time. I will Be ordering Brabus style exhaust tips and this time will make sure it doesn’t go past the running boards

Did they make the piping up to and including the exhaust tips? Is it just bolted on with the OEM hangers? Looks like a pretty good job from what I see.

Pretty sweet G you have, love the black side steps and wheels, more info on how you did the steps and what wheels you got?

Got the taste for the larger Comand Android screen having seen your G in previous posts. Love the custom work youve done even if the headliner lights arent quite my thing.

I think you saved some pretty serious money by doing this mod, sounds really good, not OTT or anything, great job.

Porsche gt3 trading to amg gtr
Probably a secondary cat delete is more suitable for daily driving. I did it in my gtr and sounds much better without being annoying.

I've experimented with this setup some and have tried putting a magnaflow 50 (one of their quietest models) behind the cats. Gets rid of the drone for having no mufflers, but keeps the bark when you stomp on the gas!! I swap them around every now and then, but you gotta really like it loud!!

I guess the good thing is that swapping them on and off is just 3 bolts and you can swap them out!!!

it uses the same black round tips and fits perfectly in the oem spot!
