I don't know why I was so fascinated by this. It maybe because I read it was no longer available. I'm sure it would be great if you have a dog but we don't.
I got our Parts Manager to find me one. I even got the straps to roll it up (which I'll probably never use)
I was told there were only 6 in the US when we I ordered this one.

2 years ago my local dealer had to locate one for me, and there was only 9 or something in the entire country.
I love how it looks inside my G, I don't have a dog and not planning to get one, I just LOVE how they look.

With the retaining hooks on the roof of these trucks I figured there would be a swath of options for things like this, but guess nothing ever really took off.
I have a great dane and a senior weimeraner, on individual trips this would be great, but when I have them both in the truck the rear seats need to fold out of the way.
This would be awesome to keep my dane at bay, are there any other options out there?

Yes, they are obscenely expensive for what they are. Somewhere I saw a thread about someone who "rolled their own" with sports netting. Not quite as eloquent as the MB version, but it worked. There are also less expensive knock-off versions as well, such as: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Trunk-CARGO...oAAOSwhe9eRS~S . Me being me, I would probably go with the knock-off if I needed one.
I just pulled the trigger on this as is will deliver in a week from the UAE.
May be a knock off, but I need to keep my Great Dane secure in the back and now that I've got the truck back on the road she keeps jumping on the rear wheel wells to try to get over the seat and out the window.
Given MB's current manufacturing practices, I would not be surprised if all of them come from the same Chinese factory.
Agreed, figured I would go this route as is all probably coming from the same place. I'll give my feedback on the build quality once it arrives and I get it installed.
Just ordered the one off of Amazon, I will update the thread when it arrives. I don’t so much want it for my dog, but to keep stuff in the truck area, contained in the trunk area if I was in an accident.
I realize the mesh might not do much to stop a trailer hitch ball from hitting my head, but it is better than nothing.

That partition net is great solution. We have two Great Danes and my wife wouldn't let their slobbery mugs into her G Wagon so I bought a 1997 two-door Tahoe as our dedicated dog truck. This net is a great idea though!
Is there a pet partition for 2019G.. The manual does show a picture of one on Pg98-99

The 3 times my dog has been in my G (short trips to the groomer) he's been in a plastic portable kennel (Walmart - $40). If he could ever see through a screen barrier like this one to discover there's first class seating ahead, he would bark and howl until he was properly occupying the passenger seat next to me, chuffing on the windscreen. As they say, "let sleeping dogs lie."

I believe there's one, when I checked with my local dealer early 2019 they said there's but NA at this time, and I sold the car before buying it.
It's a bit wider than the older model.
