July Built, September Delivery, 2020 or 2021?

Hi,

Turns out my G63 will be built in 4th week of July and in USA at the Dealership in September / October. Would this still be a 2020 or a 2021? Do you know what month production would be a 2021? It would be painful to get a 2020 G63 nearly the end of a 2020 calendar year.

Thanks,

what does it say when your dealership pulls it up in their system where it shows your build status?

Do you have a Purchase Order number (PO#)? It should show 2020 since as far as I know the 2021 allocations are not yet out. The first 2020s were built around Sept. last year from what I recall.

July built should be 2020. If you can wait, I would ask if you can push your allocation later and get the first 2021.

Model year does play a large factor in resale.

I haven't bothered the Sales Person too much with it. Our communication last October was regarding a 2020.

I agree, I wonder if that's a possibility for them to hold it and submit it in September. However it'll then maybe show up in March?

MY21 allocations are out now with build in Sept. The dealer can hold your place in line but move past you for the 2020 and you can get the first 2021 allocation.

I go for the 2021. I'm in the same exact situation as me. I got the last 2020 but pushed it to the first 2021. The first 2021 are September build so earliest you get would be November anyway. I would recommend getting the 2021.

Thank you, I eMailed him to proceed with a 2021. Any new Options we can take advantage of for 2021? Also any price increase?

The order guides are in that thread so you can look at options, etc.

Christmas for a 2021 sounds right. US built new model years arrive late September early October. I got my 2016 AMG C63S (built in Alabama) in October of 2015. Adding 1-2 months for Germany built cars to arrive in US is reasonable.

Excellent, It looks like Wireless Charging is now standard which is fantastic. I told him to keep all options the same. Was there any price increase on the base price or any of the options?

Excellent, currently in no rush. December / January both work for me.
