Is My G63 Enroute????

I was wondering if anyone could help. If I have a VIN, can someone tell me if my car has any vessel information assigned to it. My vehicle received a VIN June 1, 2020 (build start). I was told the car takes a few days to build, so I was thinking the G is at the port. I asked the GM his answer was no and that's it. I get the worst customer service and I fee like I am a burden when asking, when he is in the service industry. I am closer to the Porsche dealership (different owner) and they were showing me build date, when it would show vessel information and final delivery to their dealership. I looked at one Porsche that was built 7 days after mine, which I know it's a Porsche, but he was showing me it already had a vessel assigned to it.

Any help would be great on a timeline on what I can expect or when I should ask for more information on the vehicle.

Ask him to check netstar.

mine was built 5/15 and arrived at the port in Baltimore on 6/17 to give you perspective.

Have a call him them, say that you are excited and would appreciate to be kept updated.

Only a dealer can access Netstar as there is no public access to the information you are requesting; however, email MBUSA and provide your VIN# and tell them you are having problems getting the information from your dealer, and they will provide what you desire: mercedes_benz@mailca.custhelp.com

I am going to go to the dealer and have them pull it up in front of me. I will also email Benz. Thanks again for your help.

Yes, that’s why I said to have the GM check netstar.

The dealership should be more on top of updating the status.

They all want a 10 on the survey right? 😂

A dealer in Sanford FL recently got one that took 1 month to arrive from the time it was built, which was purchased by a member here.

Well, MB USA was not help. She told me to go to the dealership. I went to the dealer ship and spoke to them and he said there is no vessel or ETA information in Netstar and its up to MB to provide that information to them on Netstar. I didn't see any of this and this was a conversation I had. He knows I am eager for the vehicle and said you would contact Germany and request more information.

There have been others here that have been given what you asked for by MB Customer service via the email I provided - I guess you have to get the right person! You can always copy and paste what the dealer told you in a reply to them and ask again.

Look... post or PM the VIN# and I can check the "real" story for you.

From what you have to say at this moment - if your G has been built - I "expect" it will be at German Port - which has been running slow.

VIN or PO please...

Thanks for the PM of your VIN info - and this is what I messaged you in reply earlier today...
------------------
I see from your PO that Graf did put your G into their Production schedule when they reopened - apologies for that delay due to the factory Covid shutdown

Well, your G-Wagen is at German Port.

Technically - what your Dealer saw - VIN was assigned May 29 - your G was Completed in Graf Thurs June 4 - was checked in at German Port Weds June 10.

Since June 10 it has been at German Port waiting to be assigned to a scheduled ship - your Dealer (and MB) has no access or push-power with the Port for that ship assignment - so you know due to Covid all Port's - including Germany - available ships are fewer - and loading procedures have been very slow.

On Weds June 24 - the system posted "At Port - Ship # Assigned" - but that particular Code in the Mercedes system actually means your G-Wagon has been formally assigned a # in the queue of vehicles that will be loaded on the next available ship/vessel .

I expect your G-Wagen will get a assigned vessel - with scheduled German departure date - and scheduled US Port arrival date - between Mon-Weds next week - and that ship will leave next weekend.

Please understand this is NOT a Mercedes issue - this is a ocean freight issue - due to Covid there many fewer dock/port workers - and Port loading is very slow slow.

Once the Vessel is known - you will be able to track the Vessel - and unloading vehicle carriers on our US side has been smooth.

I have 5 "G's" on this same Port list as your's - I know it's hard to keep your excitement turned down.

Quite possibly all 7 (1+1+5) will be in the same boat... all assigned "into the queue" on the same day - last Weds....

Ship name? And who's G's made it on the ship? I asked my dealer and have not heard back....guess I am not spending enough with them to receive information.
