How long do you plan on keeping your G?

So only makes sense if you care about the feature updates a new model year might bring or if you really want to experience a totally different spec.
That's how I look at things when I eventually get my G. Unless something dramatic changes, I don't think it'll be worth the money to update just to get some new minor tweaks, especially as others have pointed out sinking $5k+ in PPF and ceramic coatings with each new vehicle. Even MBUX wouldn't be enough to entice me lol.
I typically keep vehicles 5-6 years up to 100,000 miles, although with the G I could see myself keeping it longer if it's decently reliable.
On the flip side because it looks basically the same, I could get a new one at any time and my wife would never know.

@aer_g500, i see your truck from time to time in the marina, definitely beautiful and clearly shows the pride of ownership.
Course, that’s no longer possible, since Mercedes announced a few months ago they have completely discontinued all production of the G-Professional line.
Now, all you can dream about is to attempt to buy a military G, with its beaut diesel, of course, which is even more impossible than snagging a really, really old G-Pro, and paying a king’s ransom to import it into the US. Sigh...
Absolutely love it- feel like the luckiest woman in the world ever time I drive it. He’s a family member now. My OH says we will see if we change when an ‘update’ arrives but as far as I’m concerned he will be the last car I drive- it’s true love.

She's only going to get more classic as the years go by.
