2010 G550 Brush Guard - Where to buy?

I just recently got a 2010 G550. It didn’t come with the brush guard and am looking for one.

Any leads?

I’m not sure where you’re located but if you have the Offerup app, there a person in Illinois who has one for sale. They’re asking $150obo.

disregard, it won’t work for your year.

AFAIK, you have two choices - one is genuine MB and the other is an aftermarket knock-off. Which ever you go with, be sure to make sure it comes with all mounting hardware because it is wicked expensive to replace and the lack of it may mean the brush bar is stolen (they are easy to steal if you have the tool). You may want to try eBay and perhaps set an alert for one. You may also want to try Craigslist. I just gave away an aftermarket version complete with hardware and wrench on Craigslist.

Thank you for the heads up and tip. I’ll be honest, I haven’t found an aftermarket one online at all. All the links I’ve been finding between EBay and just google all are for G63s. I’m fairly new to this so I’m not sure how big of a difference it’ll be if I purchase that for the G550. Here’s a photo of the front of the car.

The best would probably be to keep looking on here or Clubwagen for someone looking to sell theirs used. Also, as stated above, make sure when you do find one, that it includes all of the brackets and hardware (if possible). The hardware can be replaced from other sources, but the brackets cannot.

I uploaded a picture of all the brackets and hardware to attach them here: https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...ml#post8035057
You can disregard the foglight assemblies, the random small hardware on top, and the turn signal cages. I took them all off at the same time so it made sense to get a picture of everything together before I forgot what was what.

Also, in the event you do find a brush guard with brackets, but no hardware, I compiled a list of 316 Stainless Steel hardware that you can order (at a much cheaper than MB price, but still expensive) here: https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...ml#post8059905
The only item that my hardware list does not include is the 2x 2 bolts welded to a washer plate shown in the post above next to the fog lap assemblies. I'll replace these eventually with SS pieces but am in no hurry and did not measure the bolt length.

The only other parts you will need to make sure you have are the quick release 'bolts' with c-style shim washers (Unless you decide to replace these like I did with a standard hex bolt and lock washer combo), and also the quick release tool.
Quick Release Bolts look like this: https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...ml#post8073552
The Hex Bolt Hardware I used as a substitute for the quick release was an M14x2.0 x 60mm Hex Bolt with split lock washer, normal washer, and a large shim/flange washer. Everything bolts up nice and solid using a shallow 22mm socket and a flex head ratchet.

I was in search earlier In the summer for an oem unit for my G500 and finally found one on Craigslist Denver. As everyone has said make sure all the hardware is included. I have yet to install but when I do I will be going the M14x60 route in place of the strange 1/4 turn quick release
