Lead time on 2021 G550

Lead time on 2021 G550
Hi everyone! Just put in an order for a 2021 G550. My dealer (USA) doesn’t have an allocation yet but once they do- approximately how long of a lead time for a build? I was told a couple different things and was hoping for some clarification from people who’ve ordered recently!

It depends on the build date of a specific allocation, which you will not know until the dealer gets it. A smaller dealer may only get a couple allocations per model year - many dealers have already received allocations for 2021. When you get an allocation it will have a projected build month. They should have an idea of when their next allocation will come because it’s relatively stable year to year, but I’ve found some dealers don’t like to guess when an allocation is likely to come up, which I can understand in today’s climate.

August allocation cars are scheduled for November build. it's usually 1.5 to 2 months after the build decade that the car shows up at the dealer.

Allocation came through (finally)
My 550 allocation finally came through. Scheduled to be an early December build, delivery expected late January. It will be a 2021, which is fine with me since I wanted the Dark Olive Magno that is apparently being dropped as a color after this model year.
