A lot of pressure on the new Range Rover to deliver and it is still at least a year out. IMO Bentayga and Urus are played out. I would never pay over sticker for any Benz product. Keep shopping around there are dealers out there willing to do deals at MSRP.

The only Urus I've seen in person was white and initially I thought it was a VW Atlas Cross Sport.

the problem with Uris is the value drops like a tank... tough car to buy as a bridge until the G63 arrives. too much depreciation unless leasing

I had 3 Lambos in the past, resale value is horrible not even as a trade in. Urus dealers play hard to get but the car is not in high demand and supply is constant so not even close to G63 in keeping its value. I sold my 19 G63 and placed a deposit for 21 G63, I got a new demo Lexus GX460 Premium w 11k discount which will be sold without loss when I get the G. The GX reminds me w G, solid, big, well equipped but not fancy.

If Lexus stops making GX in 2022 , rumors will become TX, then GX value will increase dramatically.

Do they? Looking on eBay, they appear to hold their value? (unless there is a huge discrepancy in asking vs selling but don't care for the Urus enough to do the research)

was debating the need for G which will cost 172k plus taxes and fees compared to GX which was 50k out of the door, new, and has all luxury item. I think that the WOW/exotic factor is not there.

Amazing story
I always regarded my GX as a 4Runner in a tuxedo. I took immaculate care of it, and except for a few chips in the paint, it was nearly showroom condition. I sold it for about 1/3 its out-the-door cost in 2008. Next to the RX, I think it's Lexus's best seller. My son tried to find a used GX coming off lease this past year, and they were all being snapped up as soon as they were being turned in. Maybe not exotic, but the wow factor was almost 100K miles without a recall or repair.

Sorry - I've taken the OP way off on a tangent.

I called some dealers listings on Autotrader, marke up is between 25 and 40k as " a real market value ".
Called few dealers around, some asked for 10 to 25 k over MSRP to be agrred upon before they could put me on list. Finally found one at MSRP.
He knew that I had 2 G63, 15 and 19 models since I serviced them there.
If the market remains so hot, will see some " flippers" who will order and sell within 1 year , after paying taxes I don't think that they can make more than 5 to 10k over, Rolex has same problem, u can't get the simple sport steel watches from any dealer around the world unless u had a buying relation from. Many flippers are selling new or almost new watches at X1.5 - 2 MSRP.
I am still amazed that G is still keeping its value when RR Cullinan and Lambo Urus can't.

I did quite a bit of research before selling mine last year. Obviously #1 is mileage -- they go forever, but the price difference between 150K miles and 75K miles on an 8 year old GX is substantial, just as with any other vehicle. I see 12-15 year old GX's driving around all the time, and there are few better looking vehicles that age that well.
Sorry - I've taken the OP way off on a tangent.
