2021 G wagon - paying over sticker
has anyone paid over sticker for a new g wagon? If so how much?
I am looking at a g550 10k over sticker.

I assume it is new and on the lot? If so, and it meets your requirements (and you can afford it) I see no problem with you paying over since an order will take a while. See if they will take $5k over.

I'm in SC. A customer reneged on a G63 approximately 6 weeks ago. Dealership sold it to the first person on their wait list for 50k over sticker if that makes you feel any better.
The buyer did happen to be a celebrity with unlimited funds however...

Most G63 are selling for tens of thousands over sticker. It is possible to get an immediately available car for sticker but the odds are stacked heavily against you if you aren't already a VIP client with a strong buying history.
If you look at social media or the forums, it will appear that most people are getting them for sticker, but no one is exactly eager to showcase that they paid over MSRP on a car.
With that said, if you are willing to wait a year, you should be getting your G63 allocation at sticker. For G550, getting a car at sticker in a couple of months is reasonable and not too difficult to get.

Too many battery problems and it's not improving. Was out driving a couple weeks ago and saw a Tesla hauling an Airstream -- seemed like double jeopardy. Campgrounds must be providing double hookups now.

Agree G-Class has no direct competitors, but the closest one is the Range Rover in my mind. On the flip side Urus or Bentayga.
