Bluetooth Auto-connect...Works for others...Doesn't work for my phone.

This is really bothering me. Especially how i always have to reconnect every time i shut the car off and on.
Funny thing is anyone i have added to my bluetooth connect list gets reconnected automatically when they step in my car. But for me i always have to go into the Command Audio and Connect to my iPhone.

Is it a setting on my phone or am i Missing something?

No, for handsfree devices there is no setting. The iPhone should automatically connect to a previously paired handsfree device. There is a setting for headsets, for example one can choose if AirPods should connect automatically when taken out of the charging case or not. What you can control on the iPhone is where you want to route the audio, but it should automatically choose to route audio to a connected Bluetooth device normally and you can manually change the routing if necessary.

I'm guessing that your pairing is hosed. Delete the phone from COMAND and also delete COMAND from the iPhone. Maybe even reset your network settings in case something is borked in your Bluetooth stack on the phone and then pair fresh.

Come to think of it, I don't even use it for phone calls. Mostly for music.
Same for my friends who come into the car.
I always have to go into Command and click "Connect to Last Device" to be connected anytime i shut off the car. Meanwhile, i have two friends that have played music in my car and everytime they have stepped into my car, it reconnects with their phone automatically.
I will try deleting everything and trying to see if that works.

Also, just to add, if you have more than one phone paired the last one paired usually has priority. So if your friend's phone was paired after yours then your COMAND might be looking for their phone instead of yours. It should generally fall back to lower priority phones, but I suppose this could get confusing at some point with multiple phones. I only use one phone in my car, but from what I remember there are things that you can control when you have multiple phones. Don't remember if you can change the priority after the fact and such.

Or their phone simply connects faster. My gf and I when in the car it seems to just pick at random sometimes. But her phone usually first.

Actually - it's delete profiles on COMAND, then reboot COMAND. delete profile on iPhone and reboot iPhone.. then do fresh pairing

It "might" come up "again" after a iPhone OS update - just rememebr "delete and re-boot" COMAND then "delete and reboot" iPhone to go to fresh pairing..
