G550 4x4 Squared - Brabus Customizations
I just purchased a 2017 G550 4x4 Squared with a bunch of Brabus goodies (hood, wheels, steps, etc.)
Curious if there is any way to find out where those parts were installed? Is that possible? There is nothing in the carfax that would imply anything of that sort. Would this have been done in the US or in Germany/Austria?
Thanks so much!
Paul
You can decode your VIN here to see what came from the factory floor.

Thanks! Not sure why I didn't think to check that first... Still a bit foreign to me what it spits out. No mention of "BRABUS" or anything obvious: https://www.lastvin.com/vin/NLpwWEbReDvEBz8a5

Looks like you have a stout build there though from the sheet.
If you contact a brabus outfitter, I’m certain they can get in touch with HQ to track down where install was done. This is assuming that your G has genuine Brabus parts and not replica ones, which are incredibly common.
Additional note: if there was any sort of engine tuning or engine modification, there should be a stamp or sticker label in your engine bay and that might lead you to who did the install

If the car was purchased in the US, more than likely it was installed by an authorized dealer for BRABUS, like us, or by a body shop.
