My 2016 G63 on 35" tires with a 4" lift
I have a roof rack still coming, and my 30mm H&R spacers are going to be swapped for 50mm, but here's how Stitch sits now. It rides great and I'm planning a shakedown run today on some pretty technical trails. I'm happy to update this thread with those photos/videos.
I still feel that this is how G Wagons should come from the factory - or very close to it. It's disappointing to see so little aftermarket support for these cool rigs.
Oh - and in July I am running The Rubicon Trail with some friends. As far as I know, I will be the first person to attempt a G63 through that trail.

Great looking rig. Pretty unique and cool color also.
Great to see the AlphaEquipt wheels on a 63 with the larger brakes. Too bad more 18" wheels don't work with the larger AMG brakes.
How is the hitch mounted spare tire carrier swing out? Does it just clear the bottom of the cargo door?
If you're planning on extended off roading trips, an auxiliary fuel tank may be important as the range per tank on AMG G's is pretty terrible.

For long off road trips, I have two, 4 gallon rotopax that will go on my Frontrunner roof rack here before long. Other than crazy long off road trips, the G tank seems fine to me. I previously had a 200 series land cruiser that was such a pig with a small tank - it would not even do 200 miles on a full tank. So the G63 seems good by comparison!

Jack Wagon Overlanding 4" kit (I had to source the springs elsewhere - those are Eurowise 100mm springs). I had my local MB dealership install the lift and they did a great job. The tires are 35x12.5 BFG KO2s. IMO, the best all-around tire out there, and I've used a lot of them.

Great looking build (and color)! Can you post a link to the Rigd hitch-mounted swing out model you used? Do you think it can fit with a rear ladder installed?
Looking to do something similar once I remove my stock spare and take the true spare off the rack to help with the center of gravity for trails.

I loved the utilitarian aesthetic of it and didn’t think much of the functionality prior to installing. Now I find myself climbing up constantly to load up fishing rods, surf boards, etc. Definitely comes in handy especially for a lifted G. Really solid fitment and didn’t require any drilling for the install which was an added bonus.

The Rigd hitch-mounted swing out is incredible. Extremely stout, has a built-in camping table and other accessories available. I had to get an extension/adapter from Curt. Something like 4" out and 4" up to clear the back bumper, then I had to Dremel a square cutout for the hitch to pass through the bumper for the pin to go through. Pretty easy mod, only took about 5 minutes and it's not easily seen to the natked eye. The swingout barely clears the rear door, which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Nice work. Just to clarify, you didn’t use any spring spacers on your lift, just the springs.
also, what kind of shocks are you running and did you correct your caster angle?

Did you look at the parts on Jackwagon's site ? the decision really is to do a 2" lift with spring spacers and shocks and run 33's , or go all in on all the extra hardware and do the 4" kit to fit 35's....

+1 I would love to have more info and pics of which Rig’d swing out you used. What’s the max size tire that it can hold?
